"This place is amazing!"

Isis looked up from where she was writing down some notes on inventory. Kota's eyes were shining brightly with excitement. "Seriously," he smiled, "you've improved it like threefold from the last time I was here. And these new exhibits? It's going to be amazing!"

"Thanks," She smiled as she went back to writing.

"Can you take a break?" he asked. "You need to eat."

"Oh yeah," she chuckled. "Yeah, I can stop for a minute."

"Great, I'll go get our food," he said as he turned to leave. She barely nodded as she went back to her work. Kota smirked as he shook his head and pulled his phone out.

She's definitely another Sean

Figures

She was shocked to find out that she already knew the owner of the aquarium. Something you forgot to tell us, Axe?

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about, Kota.

How could you not know the aquarium has been reaching out to her for collabing in a children's section?

Oh I hardly ever have a say on the kids section. It's run by Terry and her daughter Autumn who has Down syndrome. They do such a good job that I barely ever have to do anything. She must have reached out and used my name instead. She does that sometimes when it's important.

That's even better. She was talking about setting up a section for kids that have special needs and a special time for those that are allergic to the sunlight or just need quiet time to visit. She has a ton of good ideas and from what I have already seen, this has improved drastically.

Good, we will do whatever we need to help her continue her dreams-Owen

She was shocked by the way of the news when I informed her of your position at the aquarium. Also told her of North's, Luke's, Marc's, and Silas' businesses. I would have continued but she was already getting overwhelmed. But now she knows we can help in any way if she lets us.

Good-Owen

Alright, got our food, now to gently pull her away from her work.

Good luck-Luke

Kota slipped the phone back into his pocket, grabbed the food, and headed back inside. "Knock, knock," he said as he stood in the doorway.

"Yeah?" she asked without looking up from her computer where she was rapidly typing away.

"Time for a break and eat?" he reminded her.

"Oh yeah, one sec," she barely nodded as she continued typing. "Almost done." Her desk phone rang so she grabbed it, placed it on her shoulder, and went back to typing. "Hello? Oh hi Puppy," her face lit up. "No, I haven't yet, okay I will right this second. I just need to finish this one...sentence," she typed a couple more words then set the keyboard to the side. "Yeah he just walked in. I'm trying it now."

Kota smirked as he sat the tupperware in front of her along with some silverware and napkins. She gave him a grateful look before picking up one of the tacos and took a bite. A pleased moan left her mouth as she took another bite. Kota shifted slightly before taking a bite out of his own taco.

"This is the bestest taco you ever made, Puppy," she said once she took a drink of her sweet tea. "Yep, definitely needs a gold star by it. Okay, I'm almost done with work and then I'll be home. Yes, I promise I'll be home in time to read you a story. Okay, love you."

She hung up the phone and took another bite.

"Can I ask you something?" Kota asked.

"You just did," she smirked before using a fork to eat one of her boneless wings.

"Touche," he chuckled. "Anyway, you said Duat the other day. What is Duat?"

Her eyes lit up, "Duat is the Egyptian underworld that Osiris rules. He represents rebirth and life after death. But unlike the Greek and Roman description of their underworlds, Duat is very much like our own world. There's lakes of fire and trees of turquoise and there are rivers and islands and fields and lakes and mountains and caverns and it's just," she let out a soft sigh of happiness. "It's life after death if Osiris deems you worthy."

"What if you aren't worthy?" Kota asked curiously.

She shrugged, "If Anubis weighs your heart against the feather of Maat," she saw his confusion and smirked, "The feather of Maat represents truth and justice," he nodded, "anyway if it's lighter than the feather of Maat then the soul may enter Duat. If it's heavier than the feather, then Anubis rejects the soul and Ammit, who is the devourer of souls, eats the heart and the soul is denied existence after death and will forever be deemed unworthy of entering Duat."

"Wow," Kota murmured. "I have heard of the judging of the heart against a feather but never knew the whole story. Please tell me you have this kind of knowledge in the museum. It's fascinating."

She chuckled and nodded, "Yes, I have some basic Egyptian gods and goddesses information in a section of the museum. I'm trying to show various religions and events at different times to keep it interesting and with changing it every so often, it will allow repeat customers something different every time they visit as well as give them a reason to come back."

"You are amazing," Kota smiled proudly. "This place is going to thrive so much under your care."

Her eyes jumped up to his and he watched as pride filled her. "Thank you, Dakota."

He nodded, "Of course. Is there anything I can help you with after we finish eating?"

She thought about it for a moment before nodding, "Yeah, I got a few ideas."
