His departure was rather sudden. I did not see it coming that way. Still disturbed, I sit on the sofa with my bruised lip. It hurts. Vansh ensured to give me a deep, long kiss before departing- one which left both of us gasping for air, one in which he tasted every corner of my mouth with his tongue. He jerked my cock too, making me come on him. He licked clean my spurt on his hand, and sucked my cock. Just as I was getting high on pleasure, Jagat called him and he had to leave. While all of that made me feel better for a while, I am back to being my pathetic self now.

I am in the study with Palak, who keeps throwing questions at me. She has to get all the questions answered--as I understand-- since her superior won't be able to speak me to me. A thirty-one year old can definitely live his life the way he wants. Except, he is heir to one of the biggest conglomerates of the country, so he may not. I dully answer the questions, knowing that if Vansh was here, I would have answered them far more ecstatically. At the same time, I wonder if I would have actually answered the questions. If he would have actually asked pertinent questions. He did not have to- he knew the plan as much as I did. What Palak is doing is the final compilation, one that she would hand over to Vansh's father. I look around the library. If he were here, we would have done it here. I am sure of it. Both of us are hornier than anticipated. He has kinks- a lot of them. I would honestly not be surprised if he asked a roleplay someday.

Nevertheless, we wrap up the things quicker than expected. Palak keeps looking at me. I raise my eyebrow. She clears her throat. "I have to tell you something." I nod. "Remember the day we went to the school? Yashika had called. Back then, they were to be engaged in two months' time."

Her words hit me the way an asteroid would hit the earth. I must have turned pale, looking all aghast, since she quickly grabs me a glass of water. I gulp it down and look at her. "Tell me everything."

She returns to her seat. She looks at her hands for a while before letting out a huge sigh and starting. "Things changed in the past week. Mayank already knew about the pictures. We somehow figured it out that it wasn't Pulkit Kachwaha, but you and Vansh."

"You did not say a word about it."

"They were dealing with things their way. And keeping you in the dark was, at that moment, the best thing we thought of. But anyways, their arrival yesterday was out of cards. We had no idea either. The confrontation was...I mean..." She shrugs. "I have never witnessed anything like this before. This morning too... They were ridiculous. I have known Ms. Tara to be more presumptuous, but I had no clue she would stoop that low."

I chuckle. "In my case, everyone stoops to their best. And worst"

"It's not the end though. All of this made them realize that they cannot delay things further."

"Delay? In what sense?"

"Yashika Choksi is flying down next week. They are rushing the engagement citing business reasons. If everything goes according to their plan, Vansh would be engaged in 10 days' time." She looks at me worriedly after having said that.

The worst of my fears have materialized. What's possible, and what's impossible is now clearly visible to me. I wished for it to be an attainable goal and in that process, have come to realize what a fool I am. Vansh cannot do anything. He is as incapable as I am to deal with this situation. He might be more so. Taking a stand once is different from sticking to it forever. We will end up as a one-night stand. But I'll take it as the best one of all. With that, we might have to end.

I spend the rest of the day in my room miserably, with the TV playing movies one after another. I pay no heed to the screen whatsoever, but my ears register some songs every now and then. The songs are about heartbreak. I just put on a heartbreak playlist of Kishore Kumar songs and I am good to go. I have the perfect background score to cry myself to sleep, which I do.
