Chapter 4

(Operation 'impossible' fails, rules are made and broken, and Chay feels the impulse to smack every Alpha in his life around the head with a hard object!) 

Operation 'impossible' fell into full swing the second day of Kim's arrival at the house. Chay would keep the man as far as possible from him, as often as he could. Of course, he couldn't do it all the time, partly because they lived in the same house, so it was only a matter of time before they bumped into each other, but also because Kim seemed to have taken it upon himself to prove to Chay that they were really mates!

In a traditional relationship, or even a courtship, the Alpha would always try and look after his Omega. Make sure their house was secure, that the Omega wanted to for nothing either emotionally or financially. That the Omega knew their everyday needs were being taken care of. In return the Omega would look after the house, turn it into a home worthy of their growing relationship. All this sounded stylised of course.... And it was very dated!.......with Omega's now free to work and provide their own financial security, and some Alpha's preferring to stay at home. Still, it was very much the stereotypical 'traditional' relationship between an Alpha and Omega. Kim seemed to be determined to be the perfect Alpha! Looking after Chay's every need, even to the point of sending Chay almost insane with all the coddling!

Chay wanted space from Kim!

Kim seemed determined to be everywhere Chay was, at all times!

It was never going to end well!

Chay wanted to scream at the other man........tell Kim that what he was doing was simply a side effect of losing his memories.........that they were not......and never would be, mates! But every time he tried to raise the subject again, that little traitorous voice inside his head whispered that he liked this Kim! This Kim seemed honest and open. This Kim seemed trustworthy and cute.............and that he shouldn't punish this version of Kim for what the real Kim did! Another part of him whispered that he should just enjoy having Kim's attention, Kim's affection.......dare he imagine, even Kim's love........while Kim was without his memories. Because he knew that once the memories came back, so would the indifference and pain!

With each day that passed it was truly growing more and more impossible to stay away from his clingy, and incredibly hot, housemate!

And no, Chay wasn't finding Kim hot because he still fancied him, or wanted to be with him...........he found him hot because even aliens from another planet wouldn't be stupid enough to think otherwise. Chay was simply doing what anyone with eyes would be doing in his situation when he ogled Kim...........feelings had nothing to to with it!

One thing that had gone as planned though, was that Chay had managed to set some ground rules for their cohabitation. Surprisingly Kim had simply sat and listened, no arguing, no shouting, no nothing. Kim's reaction had been so surprising to Chay that he had even paused to see if Kim was still awake, only to see that confused look staring back at him once more. The rules were simple, and as follows.

Kim was categorically banned from leaving his room before he was dressed, and by dressed, Chay had reinforced that 'dressed' meant Kim needed to have trousers AND a shirt on, not one or the other.Kim was banned from Chay's bedroom. Although that rule had been established the first night.The doctor had said that Kim needed to do regular exercise to build his muscle mass back up. But Kim needed to inform Chay when he was doing such things so that Chay could make himself scarce.Kim was not allowed to sleep outside Chay's bedroom door! Chay had explained that this was his family home and perfectly safe. Kim should sleep in his own room while he stayed at the house.Kim was not allowed to randomly sniff Kim's neck. It was weird, and if he wanted to, he needed to ask permission first.
