"Servant?" Komaeda asked, tired. "I think you should leave Kamukura-kun alone for a moment. I think he needs space after what happened,"

"Master Kamukura?" Servant asked. "I can leave if you'd like-"

"No. Stay. Can you tell me how you met Hajime?"

"Sure. He was chained up in mistress Genshi's castle after she had abducted Komaeda-san," He explained. "I helped him and Komaeda escape,"

"I see. What was your first impression of him?"

"Hm... I suppose I felt bad for him, but he also scared me a bit. I thought he would break my skull and he threatened to hurt me. But other than that, it was a very nice experience!" He smiled. "He told me that you'd like me. He said we were both weird and twisted,"

Kamukura chuckled sadly. "He said that a lot. But Hajime was really kind." For the first time in a few days, Kamukura got up from his bed. "I'm hungry,"

"I can make something for you!" Servant said. He felt quite useless, not taking any orders and not being insulted or beat up.

"Thank you," Kamukura said.

The three men walked downstairs. Hinata's parents sat at the kitchen table, talking to each other. They looked incredibly tired.

"Hello, everyone!" Haruto said, suddenly appearing in the kitchen.

"Hm?" Mrs. Hinata asked.

"I have a surprise for yooouuuu!" He grinned.

"The hell are you so happy for-" Mr. Hinata stopped talking when the room was suddenly illuminated by a bright light.

"Babe, I'm home." A famillar voice said.

Komaeda's eyes widened.

"Hajime!" Mrs. Hinata shouted as her son appeared in the room.

He grinned brightly. "Missed me-?" They all practically jumped into his arms. Except servant. He just stood there.

"Hajime, I thought you were gone!"

"Hinata-kun, don't ever scare me like that again!"

"I'm so glad to have you back, Hajime,"

When they finally let go after an eternity, Hinata explained the situation.

"Sorry for calling you babe earlier, I was trying to come up with something cool to say for so long, I hope it had the effect I wanted it to have. But anyway, since I was so brave and strong and manly, the God council or whatever has decided that, in order to honor my sacrifice, I would become the God of protectors,"

"WHAT?!" Mrs. Hinata shrieked. "You're a God?!?!"

"Huh?? But then-"

"Don't worry, baby." He put a hand on Komaeda's waist. "I'm gonna keep protecting you,"

"Stop calling him baby and babe," Haruto said. "Sorry about all that, angel, he got a real ego boost because of this whole situation,"

"I don't mind at all!" Komaeda smiled.

"Sooo... you're not human anymore?" Mr. Hinata asked.

"Nope. I mean, my body still looks the exact same, but I am a God. And it's my duty to make sure every God has a protector and explain their duty to them. Easy as pie." He gave a thumbs up.

"Does that mean you're immortal now?" Kamukura asked.

"Pretty much. But don't worry, Genshi got punished and isn't the Godess of death anymore. Her sister got that position and she allows Gods to talk to the dead, so we'll always be together. Forever." He smiled.

"Where is my mother now?" Komaeda asked.

"Well, Gods aren't supposed to interfere with humans' lives in this way so she broke a pretty important rule. As punishment, she was turned into a human,"

"...I see..." Komaeda said.

"Thanks for waiting for me, mom and dad and Izuru. I know it must've been weird to not be able to bury me properly,"

"Thank God we didn't!" Mrs. Hinata said, smiling. "Haruto-san, thank you so much,"

"No need to thank me. Your son protected my son, so it was my turn to protect him," he said.

"As for you!" Hinata pointed at Komaeda, making him gasp in surprise. "You told me you loved me right before I died. I was about to say I love you too, by the way,"

"You do?" He asked.

"Of course I do." Hinata nodded. "And to be honest, I think the God of protectors and the God of safety would make a perfect match." He cupped his cheek.

"I think so too!"
