After Daemon left the Red Keep at the crack of dawn, he flew straight to Driftmark on Caraxes. His brother and good sister had volunteered to go with him via boat, as neither had a dragon, however they were shut down by him as he wanted to do this alone. He did appreciate their support, though.

He almost couldn't remember the time before Queen Annora Targaryen. When, yes, Queen Mother Aemma was alive, but the relationships between the families were weak. Almost 4 ish years ago, the bonds in the family were nonexistent. There was brother against brother, Targaryen vs. Velaryon, greed over the Iron Throne, and more.

While they all do carry the loss of Queen Aemma Targaryen, everyone secretly knows that without Queen Annora Targaryen, their family would've been lost. For there was no trust, and the only thing that could bring down the House of the Dragon, was itself.

Targaryen Ship
Princess Rhaenyra was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her ship to the docks following up to the Red Keep. Home, I'm almost home, thought Rhaenyra.

For almost 6 months, she's been on a betrothal tour. It was suggested by her stepmother, Queen Annora, but to Rhaenyra only. For if she did not want to, Annora did not want the Princess forced to as it would be if she were to mention it in his presence.

The Princess was thankful for her stepmother. She was scared that they would be hateful to each other, but since that discussion in her room with the Queen and her sister, her words came as true as she acted like her friend, rather than her parent as Annora knew she could never fill the whole in her heart that followed the death of her Queen Mother.
