Chapter 11
After talking to Rishabh ,Manik calls Ishita.
On call
“Hello ,kon.” Ishita asks.
“Aunty it's me Manik , nayonika maa's son” Manik said
“Ha Manik, kese ho beta , please forgive me I didn't come to meet you” Ishita said apologetically.
“No aunty it's completely fine, no need to come here I'm perfectly alright. Aunty can I talk to Mannat if you don't mind?” Manik said in a requesting tone.
“Ha kyu nahi beta,” Ishita said.
Then Manik hears Ishita calling Mannat from the other side.
“Kya hua Nani , mujhe serial dekhne do please. At night mamma Never let me see it .” Mannat said to Ishita which Manik is hearing on call.
“ Aree Manik ka phone hai woh tujse baat karna chahta hai beta.” Ishita said
“Kya !! Manik uncle ka phone, Apne phale kyu nahi bataya Nani”mannat exclaimed loudly to her. Taking the phone , she starts talking to Manik.
“Hello uncle, kese ho ap. Mene apko bahut miss Kiya.” Mannat said Manik smile hearing her
“Acha likin mujhe call toh nahin Kiya Apne . M apki call ka kabse wait kar Raha tha '' Manik said teasingly.
“ Main kaise call kar Shakti ho uncle, mere paas phone nahi hai. Jab mamu ayege tab phone Karti m.''Mannat said sadly.
“What if I buy you a phone cutie?” Manik said, making Mannat gasp.
“Aap mujhe phone dilaoge uncle? Mamma will shout at me if she finds out” she said sadly.
“ No she won't, only if you want I can buy you one. But for that you have to promise me something” Manik said
“Kya,” she asked.
“ You will not watch TV then.” Manik said
“No uncle, I can't live without TV . I love serials a lot. please.”she said in requesting tone
“ Okay that means you don't love me because if you love me you would happily leave TV for me . As you will use your phone so you can't see TV , it will weaken your eyesight baby. Which is not good for health.but it's okay if you don't want to talk to me” Manik said innocently try to explain himself.
“ No uncle I love you but…..I “ then Manik checked his phone to see whether the call is still connected or not as he suddenly felt silence on the other side.” Okay I'll leave TV but you have to promise me you will not leave me ever” Mannat said Manik smiled hearing her words.
“Okay then your mamu will give you a phone . Okay aur ha I'll never leave you cutie Mannat promise” Manik said.
Then they got busy in their talks.after 2 hours he cut the call as she needed to complete her homework.
Manik POV
I cut the call only to see Aman glaring at me. He heard everything which I was talking to Mannat. He came in between our talks.
“Aman, order a tablet, and sent it to Rishabh. I'll talk to him about same.”I said
“Manik tu pagal h, ek bachi Ko tab de Raha hai woh bhi uski maa ke Bina permission ke. You know Dr Nandini hates you to core Manik ,still you are doing this.” He shouted at me.
I know dr hates me but this is how I'll come close to them.
“I don't care Aman. I just know Mannat needs me, she needs a father”I said nonchalantly.
