Becky's POV

It's been two days since I last talked to Freen in the library. I was actually confused by her sudden departure back then.

* KRINGGG

The bell rang, and I immediately fixed my things and left the room.

As I finished fixing my things, I quickly went to the other building, where Irin and Nop are. They're my friends, unfortunately.

"Hey buddy, how are you these days, hm? Missing her so much?" Irin teasingly asked while smirking at me.

I sat down. In front of me are Nop and Irin.

"Shut up," I annoyingly said, rolling my eyes at her.

She then laughed along with Nop, so I glared at them.

Gosh, so annoying. I shouldn't have come here; they'll just annoy and tease me.

"Okay, we'll stop. So what do you want, hm? My treat, don't worry," Nop asked as he was trying to calm down after laughing nonstop earlier. The same goes for Irin.

"Milktea, 100% sugar," I simply answered. He then nodded, stood up, and quickly went to the counter to order.

They already ordered, so it's just me who doesn't have food on the table yet. And I'm not hungry; I just want milk tea to refresh.

A few moments later, Nop came back with a cup of milk tea in his hands.

He quickly gave it to me.
"Thanks, Nop," I happily said, thanking him as I gave him a small smile.

He nodded and sat down beside Irin.

As soon as they were done eating, we just talked about random things. I picked up my phone from my bag and played with it.

Irin then called me.
"Hey, Bec, I have something to tell you," Irin seriously said while looking at me straight in the eyes with concern.

I looked at her, then Nop, and he just shrugged his shoulders.

I looked back at Irin.
"Why so serious? What is it?" I nervously asked as I turned my phone off.

Irin's not the serious type of person, so whenever she's talking to me seriously, I'm kind of nervous.

"Noey texted me a while ago; Freen is in the infirmary," she said, which shocked me, so I dropped my phone.

"Why? What happened?" I worriedly asked her. We don't have a research subject today in our schedule, so I didn't see Freen today.

"Relax, Bec, she's fine now. She fainted because of a high fever, so they took her to the infirmary. Noey said she'd update me when Freen wakes up, so I'm waiting. I'm actually hesitating whether I should tell you this or not," Irin explained.

Nop then came beside me and picked up the phone on the ground as I dropped it.

"I'll go to her now," I declared as I took my phone from Nop and quickly stood up from my seat.

As I was walking to leave the cafeteria, Irin held my hand to stop me.

"We'll come with you, but please relax, okay? She's fine now; they were just waiting for her to wake up," Irin said, reassuring me.
