Becky's POV

* RINGGG

It's my phone.
I checked the caller, and it was her.
She's calling me.

"Hi, I'm on my way, babe," I said while smiling widely at my side-view mirror.

Today is Saturday, and I'm on my way to their house as her mother invited me.

That day at the infirmary, Freen and I talked about many things. She also clarified things between her and Seng.

Actually, I don't really understand why she would explain those things to me, because we're just friends.

As of now,.

But I'm glad she did, because it made us closer.

And I can now sleep without overthinking.

Flashback:

"I'm sorry, Bec, if I ever did something bad to you or if I ever hurt you without my knowledge," she sadly said, apologizing to me for my very own fault.

"No, it's not your fault. I should be the one apologizing; I'm so sorry for avoiding and ignoring you for days," I clarified as I bit my lower lip to prevent crying.

As I closed my eyes, I felt a soft touch from my lips, and when I opened my eyes... She's rubbing my lips with her thumb with worries in her eyes.

"Stop. Don't bite it. It will bleed," she said with authority. And so I obeyed.

"It's because of him, right? That's why you're avoiding me?" She asked, and I nodded.

"So shallow, right? I'm sorry," I sarcastically said as I smiled at her fakely.

She then shook her head and looked at me straight in the eyes.

Her eyes are really beautiful.

"He's my ex, actually. But we didn't have that closure since we didn't break up. He suddenly disappeared and ghosted me, so I considered him my ex, a nobody, a person from my past. But then he came back, after many months. He wants me back, so I made a deal with him." She explained, but stopped and looked down.

I held her chin and lifted it so I could see her eyes. She then smiled at me genuinely and continued explaining.

"I told him to earn me, to gain my trust and love again. He's working on it now. Maybe that's why I spent more time on him than you. I'm sorry about that. Even my friends, I sometimes lost track of time when I was with him and forgot my friends and you. He's putting in so much effort to gain me back, but I... I no longer feel those feelings with him anymore. I told him a while ago before you entered the room. I told him not to expect too much from me. I might forgive him and trust him again, but love him. It's a different story." She continued while crying, but not that hard.

I wiped her tears away using my hands and gave her a genuine smile.

"Thank you for explaining and clarifying things," I said, reassuring her. She nodded and smiled at me with a small smile.

I was about to explain to her my side of why I was avoiding her, but the door swung open, and it revealed her friends and the lady, who I guess is her mother.
