"Tell your Council that the first battalions are ready." Veilstar meowed to Hazeldusk as they stepped out of the cave.

"And remind them, if they need more troops, it will take more time to make them."

"I won't forget, and thank you." Hazeldusk dipped his head before padding away; Veilstar did the same and stood back.

He had found out a lot of things today. That Silverstorm was the one responsible for trying to kill Heathersun, and Seersight's mystery was solved, except he couldn't find out who had killed him.

But Silverstorm had mentioned a cat called Tyrantturn, whoever that was, and he guessed the Mandalorian was lying.

He tapped the smoke crystal that hung on his neck, focusing on the ones he wanted to contact.

"Well?" came Horizonstar's raspy growl.

"I have successfully made contact with the leader of the Tribe of Hidden Waters."

"They are using a bounty hunter called Silverstorm to create a Clone army."

"And..."

"Go on." Amethystgaze's voice rumbled.

"I believe that he is the assassin we are looking for," Hazeldusk concluded.

"Do you think these sorcerers are involved in the plot to assassinate Senator Heathersun?" he could almost hear the frown in the deputy's voice.

"No, Master, there seems to be no motive," he replied.

"Do not assume anything, Hazeldusk," Horizonstar growled. "Clear your mind, you must be, if you are to discover the real villains behind this plot."

"Yes, Master."

"They say, Master Seersight placed an order for a Clone army moons ago."

"It could explain the absence of his Kyber crystal."

"Did the Council ever authorize the creation of a Clone army?" Hazeldusk asked, raising his voice because of the wild winds that threatened to overpower his mew.

"No." Amethystgaze meowed curtly.

"Bring Silverstorm here. Question him, we will." Horizonstar rasped.

"Yes, Master, I will report back when I have him." Hazeldusk meowed, letting the crystal fall from his paws.

He glanced back at the huge cave; Silverstorm wasn't the type of cat that would follow him back to Dawnclan, he would have to think of something.

And it wasn't going to be easy.

Horizonstar paced around his den. He had not been troubled for a long time, but as he fit the pieces of the puzzle together, dread filled his mind.

Frostshard's absence, the deaths of Elderflower, Sagepelt, and Seersight... Why were these trageties happening?

For the first time in 50 years, he felt like he was losing control of his clan.

"Blind we are if the creation of this Clone army... we could not see," he muttered.

His apprentice had once told him he was losing sight of the living Force... What if he was true?

Another mystery to add to his collection.

And Frostshard, every time he meditated about the leader of the Separatists, a dark cloud hovered over him.
