Hazeldusk let himself be dragged on the coarse sand floors of the arena. He didn't try to open his eyes, nor tried to make a struggle.
In a few moments, some horrifying beast would explode out of the caves and would crush his life.
"Master!" a voice broke through his hazy mind.
'Oh, Starclan, leave me alone...' Hazeldusk thought angrily.
"Master, wake up!!!"
'I'm having hallucinations...'
'Because that voice... nah... it couldn't be...'
"I'm sorry, Sagepelt..." he murmured faintly.
"Hazeldusk!!!"
A paw slapped his face. Hard.
"Yeow!" Hazeldusk's eyes snapped open. "Oh, for the love of- can't you dungbrains just let me die in peace?"
"Wait." he blinked a few more times for his eyes to adjust to the blinding light.
"Skypaw?" Hazeldusk stared at his apprentice, chained up, fur-ragged, and torn.
Beside him... was Heathersun, looking equally in the horrible condition.
"Wha-"
"Hi, Master." Skypaw mewed.
A fresh new burst of energy coursed through Hazeldusk's veins.
"You."
"You are so dead when we get back to Dawnclan."
"Look, I can-" Skypaw stuttered.
"Have you had any idea how worried I was about you?" Hazeldusk's eyes blazed with fury. "Abandoning the mission, dragging the Senator to a dangerous place, and you Kriffing went back to Tribe Dune???"
"Okay, I can explain-" Skypaw began.
Hazeldusk gave him the death glare.
"Uh, well, we decided to come and rescue you." he grinned awkwardly.
"Yeepiee?"
Hazeldusk stared at the durasteel bonds on his paws, then back at his dratted apprentice.
"Good job," he muttered.
"Settle down, settle down." Tyrantturn's deep growl rumbled across the arena, eyes flashing malevolently.
"As you see here, Hazeldusk, Skypaw, and Heathersun chose to stay against the Separatists... It has been decided that they must pay for their crimes..."
"Who the hell is that?" Skypaw craned his neck to see the white cat.
"Oh, him?" Hazeldusk stared at Tyrantturn with absolute loathing. "That's the most disgusting, villainous maggotface you'll ever get to meet."
"Did I also mention the fact he tried to kill you by sending the most dangerous bounty hunter in history?" he added to the she-cat, who stared back at him, shocked.
"He what?" she hissed.
"Surprise." Hazeldusk meowed.
"... and let the executions begin!!!" Spidersand yowled.
Three beasts, equally horrible, equally smelly, and equally deadly burst out of the caves, facing their prey.
One had a huge horn on its snout, a thick hide, and bloodshot eyes. The second looked like a mutant praying mantis with crab claws for feet. And the last one... looked like a tiger... only that its eyes were pitch black, only its hide was a dead grey...
