At Dragonstone, in front of the Painted Table, the young prince Lucerys Velaryon expresses to his mother his doubts about his ability to become Lord of the Tides if his grandfather Corlys Velaryon were to die, but Rhaenyra reassures him. Rhaenys then arrives from the Red Keep on Meleys. Received in audience by Rhaenyra and Daemon, she tells them of the death of Viserys and the coronation of Aegon before the people. Upon hearing this news, Rhaenyra feels the first contractions of labor, even though she is still far from due date. Daemon is convinced that his brother was murdered by the Hightowers, and is surprised that Rhaenys did not burn them when she had the chance, but she replies that it is not her place to start the war

While Rhaenyra, overcome by the pains of premature childbirth, refuses the help of Maester Gerardys and the midwives Daemon organizes the defense of the island against the Greens with his council, including Lord Bartimos Celtigar and Lord Simon Staunton. In particular, he orders that the Guardians of the Dragons be enlisted.

On the beach, Jacaerys and Lucerys practice swords under the watchful eye of Ser Steffon Darklyn, of the Royal Guard. While the eldest has just violently disarmed his younger brother, Rhaenys interrupts the training by announcing that their mother is asking for them. Despite the pain of her childbirth, Rhaenyra informs her children of the situation and asks Jacaerys that nothing be done without her agreement.

In front of his advisors, Daemon, who has just learned that Lord Corlys Velaryon, recovered from his wound, has left La Vesprée for an unknown destination, orders that ravens be sent to their allies, Houses Sombrelyn, Massey and Bar Emmon. He himself is going to go to Lord Grover Tully. Jacaerys arrives and reports his mother's orders, but Daemon maintains the sending of the ravens, then takes the young prince outside, where the two Royal Guards Steffon Sombrelyn and Lorent Marpheux are waiting for him. With Caraxes at his side, he asks them to either recognize the legitimacy of Rhaenyra and her son Jacaerys, or to support the usurper Aenys, in which case he promises them a clean and quick death. But if they betray later, then they will die screaming. Meanwhile, still refusing help from midwives, Rhaenyra gives birth alone to a stillborn premature baby, whom she takes in her arms. She swaddles him in strips, while Daemon, alone on the beach, gives in to his grief.

The entire court meets outside the walls of the fortress to witness the cremation of the little corpse, when Ser Erryk Cargyll arrives, who kneels in front of Rhaenyra and pronounces his vows as Royal Guard by handing her his father's crown, which he stole before leaving the Red Keep. Daemon takes the crown from her, then places it on Rhaenyra's head, before bending the knee before her, followed by the entire court, except Rhaenys

The queen then presides over her first war council in front of the Painted Table. The declared allies are hardly powerful, but Rhaenyra has confidence in the loyalty of Arryn Vale and the North. On the other hand, Conflans is not assured, and Daemon offers to take care of it. Rhaenys mentions that her husband's fleet is sailing to Dragonstone to ally with the Blacks. Conversely, the Western lands will follow the Hightower. As for the dragons, with thirteen against four, Black has a big advantage. It is then that a ship sporting a green sail is announced.

It is an embassy from King's Landing, led by Ser Otto Hightower, with Grand Maester Orwyle. The meeting with the queen and her husband took place on the access road, where, years earlier, they had already clashed. Otto transmits King Aenyd's peace proposals: Dragonstone will remain in Rhaenyra, and Jacaerys after her, Lucerys is confirmed as Lamarck's heir, and Rhaenyra's sons and Daemon will have places of honor at the royal court. But Rhaenyra snatches his Hand badge, and Daemon asks Ser Erryk for Otto's head. Swords are drawn, but Otto then hands Rhaenyra the page of parchment she had once torn in front of Alicent in memory of their former friendship, and Rhaenyra ends the confrontation by promising her answer by the next day

.

Back before her council, Rhaenyra is hesitant about what to do, wondering aloud whether it is better to start war or renounce her rights to the throne. Seeing that Daemon does not share her hesitation and wishes to open hostilities, she orders all the others to leave, then silently evokes the song of ice and fire that her father had previously revealed to her. But Daemon, furious, then violently grabs her throat, refusing to hear more about what he considers to be daydreams, and Rhaenyra realizes that he is unaware of the prophecy.

Lord Corlys Velaryon, who arrived at Dragonstone while still convalescing, is watched over by his wife, who tells him that his brother Vaemond was beheaded by Daemon for denying the legitimacy of Rhaenyra and Laenor's children. Corlys, overwhelmed, considers remaining neutral in the coming war, but Rhaenys reminds him that their grandchildren will be in danger as long as Aenys sits on the Iron Throne, and that Rhaenyra, although surrounded by warlike advisors , still trying to preserve the peace

In fact, Rhaenyra remains silent before the Painted Table while her advisors argue over what actions to take. Corlys and Rhaenys enter and announce their rallying to the Blacks. Corlys adds that he has defeated the Triarchy and therefore controls the Straits. Rhaenys will therefore patrol above Gosier with Meleys to blockade King's Landing. Rhaenyra thanks them, and adds that, if she refuses to open hostilities, she nevertheless wishes to secure allies, first and foremost the Arryn, the Stark and the Baratheon. Jacaerys then intervenes to recommend sending him and his brother rather than crows, because a dragon is faster and more convincing. Rhaenyra accepts, deciding that her eldest will go to Lady Jeyne Arryn, then to Lord Cregan Stark, while Lucerys will go to see Lord Borros Baratheon.

Rhaenyra then gives instructions to her sons on the walkway. She makes them swear on the Seven to behave like messengers, not warriors. Then the two boys fly away on their dragons together with Rhaenys.

All the while, Daemon, who was absent from the council, goes deeper into the caverns of Montdragon. Singing a melody in High Valyrian, he goes to meet Vermithor

As the storm threatens, Lucerys arrives in Storm's End, where he discovers that he has been beaten by Aemond and Vhagar. In front of his uncle who observes him mockingly, he transmits his mother's message. Lord Baratheon replies that Aemond has offered to marry his eldest daughter, but Lucerys, already engaged, cannot make a comparable offer, and Lord Baratheon rejects his mother's request. As Lucerys prepares to leave, Daemon intervenes by revealing his gouged out eye, replaced by a sapphire, and demanding that his nephew put out his own eye in compensation. But Lord Borros interrupts him by forbidding any bloodshed under his roof, and by having Lucerys escorted away. He goes back to Arrax and leaves again, even though the storm has broken out. Amidst the rain and lightning, he is caught by Vhagar, and Aemond shouts insults and mockery at him. He tries to flee from him by diving between the cliffs, but Arrax, escaping his control, turns around and spits a puff of flame at Vhagar. Furious, the dragon catches up with him and grabs him with her dragon rider in a single bite. Aemond, petrified, helplessly contemplates the remains of his opponent's wings falling through the clouds

At Dragonstone, Daemon tells Rhaenyra the tragic news. She faints for a moment, then faces up, her teeth clenched.

Author's note: Here is the last episode of "Dragon" it's not too bewitching with the arrival of Aenys but hey I think I've had my fill and I can't wait to have your reactions from Aenys the great . Have a good reading.
