A couple days later, me and newt are better than ever. We now share a hut and Thomas is now in my old one and we spend 24/7 together. We were working in the garden when Minho and Thomas came running over from the maze. "Hey minmin and tommy!" I said to them kindly, "hey mate, hey y/n" Minho replied moodily, "what's wrong" newt asked. They nodded their head to the right and led us to the hut. "We need more runners, all of the other runners have quit" Thomas said, I've always wanted to be a runner so I thought why not and said "I can be a runner". All of them faced me and newts face looked angry. "That's actually.. a great idea, you start tommo-." Minho said but before he finshed newt slammed his hand on the table and said "no she's not fucking being a runner" he walked out angrily while saying "too dangerous", all 3 of us looked at eachother and Thomas said "what's... wrong with him?". He all looked confused and I ran out after him.

"Newt, wait up", when I caught up to him I was out of breath so I put my hands on my knees and took a few big breathes and when I caught my breath, I stood back up and stared at him before saying "why can't I go into the maze, I'm a good runner and you know it... if I go in the maze we could find a way out and live a normal live together. Is that not what you want?". I put my hand on his cheek and newt replied calmly and quite quiet "of course that's what I want, I wouldn't dream of anything different but if I lose you I have nothing, nothing". I smiled and said "if you don't want me to go in, I won't go in" I kissed him then suddenly the box alarm went off. Newt held my hand as we ran over and once the box open he jumped in. He looked shocked then look back up to the group and said "it's a... girl?". Everyone gasped, I was staring at the girl and realised something was in her hand. I jumped into the box and almost slipped but newt caught be before it was obvious and I bent down to the girl hand to see she was holding a note. As I looked I read it out load"last... one.. ever. Well what the fuck does that mean".  Gally pushed through the crowed and before he jumped into the box with us Thomas held him back.

The girl was passed out so Jeff and Ben picked her up and brought her into the med room. Newt got out the box before me and put his hand out to me while saying "my lady" I laughed and grabbed his hand and said "me lady?" With a smirk on my face. He smirked back before saying "I've got to go and see the girl". He walked away and I felt some sort of jealousy, chuck came running over and grabbed my arm saying "come play hide and seek". I agreed hoping it would get my mind off newt and that girl and played with him.

Hours later, newt was still talking to that girl who's called teresa and they were laughing and she was holding his arm. I kept staring from a far not taking my eye of them. Thomas came over and we chatted but I didn't take my eye off them, "um y/n, you're staring". I turned my head to face him for one second then faced back at newt before saying "he likes her, look at them", "no he doesn-.". Suddenly they kissed. "Just friends huh?" I said to him annoyed. "Y/n- I didn't" I walked away by that point and went into mine and newts hut. 20 minutes later newt came in a with a smiley face hugged me saying "I haven't seen you all day babe". He kissed my neck and I said "really? Well I've been watching you... and teresa". He stopped kissing my neck and moved back facing me. With tears in my eyes I said "why would you do that to me". He began crying too saying "I'm so sorry, she came at me I- I didn't know what to do", tears left my eyes when I said "not be a dick, that's what you could've done. Tell her you have a girlfriend but no". I began to walk out and then he grabbed my arm making me spin back to him, he moved both his hands to my cheeks saying "I love you, you y/n. Not her" I began to cry more openly and said "well you fucked it up haven't you. Sleep somewhere else tonight please. Wouldn't be surprised if it's with teresa". I said the last bit while walking out and before he could reply I slammed the door.
