The Means to War!

Chapter 6

Reddish orangish balls of mushroom clouds of fire exploded all over the base that the enemy thought was a good hideout but, it was not. The ones that Joey did not get his team shot and killed. Like one poor man who tried to run away and was heading towards the trench turrets when he was shot several times in the back by Dark Knight. The screams continued for several minutes before everything was quiet and the battlefield of destruction and chaos was void of any life as far as Joey and his team could tell.

Joey then got out of the moss cover quilt and grabbed his gun that was behind his back and then yelled out "Let's move out to the target area!" Just like a quick flip of a switch they were up and throwing ropes down that they put near the edge of the rock and started to repel down using the rope and thank goodness that they pounded the spikes into the rock with the rope clipped into it. When they reached the bottom and hit solid ground, they unclipped themselves from the rope and waited for Joey to get down to them.

Joey having the foresight to pack everything up and take it back to the vehicles that they road in so they would not have top terry for too long. He then put the modified China lake into its case that was built for it and rolled down the steep slope on the right side of the rock and then grabbing the pin and bulling them out of the rock with his strength and putting back into their proper place in his backpack. Joey then ran down the right side of the rocky slop and carried the heavy modified China lake towards his waiting crew members. There he asked someone else to carry the heavy thing and Mike volunteered since he did not see a problem carrying something that weighed nothing to him in his eyes.

When they got to the base, they saw what Joey had done to the gate that once held enemies in; it was blown up and bent to hell and back. The house was no on fire and the only thing that was standing was the first floor and that was completely engulfed in flames. Joey then continued onwards and right smack dap in the middle of the battlefield Joey saw something that really did not disturbed him, but it was not a pretty sight. Laying on the ground was a solider with him missing half his body and his guts and organs dangling out or laying out in this case blood coated the ground everywhere. The more they went by the more carnage that they saw and more bodies that were disfigured or were severely burned when they ran out of the house with themselves on fire.

Joey just shook his head and continued onwards not thinking about the people who he just killed and just focusing on the mission at hand and the task that they still need to complete. On the way their Joey and them got a lucky break when they found a man unconscious from hitting something and they decided that he would do for getting information out of, so they tied him up and then continue onwards with one person dragging the guy who was tied up behind them. When they went around back the burning vehicles that sizzled and popped from the heat of the blazing inferno piles of debris were all over the place and sadly the forest that Joey tried to stay clear of in the fighting was now on fire from a piece of meatal from one of the vehicles parts flying off.

The bunker doors were still open but before Joey could take another step, he heard a very faint click of a hammer of a weapon of a gun being pulled back and he yelled for everyone to take cover and then he quickly pulled out a grenade and one swift move through it into the bunker where a man screamed along with a woman screaming as well before the blast hit and then all went silent. With one wave and sign language from Joey's hand he told Mike to set up the modified China lake and he did it with in a couple of minutes but in that short amount of time the gunfire started to come from the bunker and within it steely stone darkness the men who no doubt heard the grenade go off where now defending their territory.

Joey then looked at Ghost who looked at him in both of their eyes they understood what they need to do and in one quick move they both ran from there hiding place from behind one of the smoldering vehicles and aimed there weapons down into the depths of the bunker and with a mighty scream that was war cry like none other they charge down into the bunker by basing the charred remains of what was once a female soldier now it was blood smear on the wall and guts and intestines where now covering the walls on both sides. Mike who was setting it all up ran with them with the modified China lake falling right behind him and once he was in rang he aimed the gun down the sights and fired but mistakenly not knowing that Ghost and Joey would continue running and when the blast hit the shock wave both blew them back towards Mike who closed his eyes as he heard a two thuds over the screaming and the fire that he just created from that blast.
