I walk over to dorm 3C and knock on the door. A guy with black and blue braids opens the door and says "Hi can I help you?"

"hi is Scaramouche home? I have to talk to him" I said

"Ya, I'll just go get him. Come in" he said walking towards a door in the dorm. a few minutes later Scaramouche comes into the living room

"Hello Scaramouche," I say

"Hi you wanted to speak to me?" he says

"ya, I wanted to ask you a favor. You know the prisoner from the last meeting?"

"ya" he mumbled

"Well, I want you to help me break him out."

"Why should I?" he says

"because the prisoner is a friend of your sister's," I say. I know he has a soft spot for his sister

"Really?" he says

"Ya. so will you help me?" I ask

"Fine" he muttered "you're gonna owe me a favor"

"fine with me," I say

"ok what are the details?" he says

That night I'm in my room ensuring I have everything I need. I wear a black hoodie and beanie to cover my orange hair. I have a rope, a screwdriver, wire cutters, and a lock pick in a duffle bag. I also have my bow and a quiver of arrows just in case things go south. I leave the dorm and drive to the fatui HQ. I park down the road and walk to the building. Scaramouche should already be inside ready for a distraction if necessary. I climb to the roof of a neighboring building using the fire escape and hop on the roof of the HQ. I unscrew the cover on the AC unit which Scaramouche turned off earlier today. I climb into the unit and a vent is connected to it. I crawl through the vent for a few feet and drop down to a lower vent. I crawl a few more feet and reach a dead end. I looked through the vent and saw a hallway with a return vent down the hall. There were guards standing every few feet. I looked at the signs on the wall and recognized where I was. I texted scara.

Scaramouche

me: I need a distraction

Scaramouche: ok where

Me: maintenance hallway 4F

Scaramouche: ok

A few moments later there was an explosion. I guessed that was Scaramouche's distraction. I unscrewed the vent and ran to the vent down the hall. I unscrewed the return vent cover and crawled inside. I turned around and grabbed the vent preparing to unscrew it when I saw a body on the ground. at first glance, it looked like one of the guards but looking again I realize

"scara!" I thought "No way he's..."

I snap out of it and start crawling through the vent. I reach the dungeon and unscrew the vent outside of aethers cell. I tie the rope to a screw in the vent and drop down and Aether turns to look at me. he asks weakly "Childe?"

"shhhh" I shush him "Yes it's me." I pick the lock using the lockpick and help aether up. I help him into the vent and we crawl back to the hallway. There are two fatui members in the hallway and I catch some of their conversation.

"is that the balladeer?"

"It's him he had his ID"

"how are they gonna pick a new 11th harbinger?"

"I think everyone after the balladeer moves up a level and they pick one of the commanders"

One of the guard's walkie-talkies goes off and the person on the other end says "You two can bring the body to the morgue"

"sir yes sir," the guard says grabbing one end of a stretcher while the other grabs the other end. As they walked past I saw scaras body on the stretcher. "How am I gonna break the news to EI," I thought

We got outside the HQ and into my car before Aether finally spoke

"t-thank you childe," he says

"you're welcome," I said starting the car

"did you take care of Lumi while I was gone?" he said

"oh course," I said

"I saved the brother of the love of my life but at what cost? how am I gonna tell EI?" I thought
