I stood up from my seat as soon as I heard the bell,
rushing out of my classroom which leads me straight
to Richie, Eddie, Billy, and Stanley.

Although everyone in the loser group are my best friends, I can't help but lean towards Richie's friendship, of course I know about his little secret, he can't shut up about Archie.

"Hey Losers," I said ruffling Richie's hair but I quickly made a stop at my locker, I opened it but a letter fell out so I bent down and picked it up. My soft fingers gently opened it, making sure not to break the pretty pink paper.

"What does it say?" Richie asked, nudging me with his elbow as the boys stood around me

"it says, Dear Calista I know a lot about you but you don't even know who I am and I would like to keep it that way. I really like you, you're an amazing girl, perfect in every way shape and form and you don't deserve to be picked on by Bowers because you're beautiful - Love from your secret admirer <3" I felt my cheeks heat up

"ooh, Cali has a secret admirer" I smacked him upside
the head

"shut up Rich"

We began to walk down the hall again, we all went quiet as we passed Bowers.

"Think they'll sign my yearbook" He joked "Dear
Richie, Sorry for taking a huge steamy dump in your
bag last year" I laughed at my best friend "Have a
Great Summer" as Greta walked past us and elbowed me in the gut which caused me to stumble but Richie helped me

••••••••••

"Best. Feeling. Ever" Stanley said and I just nodded
eagerly as I dumped everything out of my bag.
"Try tickling your pickle for the first time" I elbowed his rib cage

"Hey, what do you guys wanna do tomorrow," Eddie
asked as he slipped his bag on which I also did which
caused him to chuckle at me when my arm got stuck

"Training"

"What Training?" I stifled a laugh knowing the
answer

"Streetfighting" He kept a straight face on as if it
was his everyday life

"is that how you wanna spend your summer? Inside
an arcade" I couldn't help but look at him in awe at
the way he said it.

"Beats spending it inside your mother." Richie raised
his hand at Stanley "ohhh" but he grabbed his wrist
and lowered but he put it back up to me but I found
it slightly funny so I high-fived him

"how about we go to the quarry" Stanley suggested
and I nodded at him as he wrapped his arm around
my shoulders

"Guys, we can g-go to the barrens," Billy spoke up
but it just made Calista uncomfortable since Billy lost
his brother last year and we all felt terrible for him
but he couldn't believe that Georgie was dead and
none of us had the guts to even tell him that.

"Right" I just gave Billy a small smile as I unattached
from Stanley and brought him into a hug.

"Betty Ripsom's mom." I looked in the direction Eddie
was looking in to see Betty Ripsom's mum watching
intently on the school. I felt horrible but it made me
sick to my stomach

"School would be the last place I'm spotted at." I
joked trying to lighten up the mood but no one's
mood changed

"Does she really expect to see her coming out of the
school?" But I couldn't help but also question what
Stanley said. Why would she be at school anyways?

Eddie Shrugged "don't know As if Betty Ripsom's
been hiding in Home Ec for the last few weeks." Stanley continued to watch his friends mum give up
hope on her child leaving school grounds "Do you
think they'll actually find her?"

"Sure. In a ditch. All decomposed, covered in worms
and maggots, smelling.. like Eddie's mom's
underwear." Riche joked but that's when I lost it.

"Shut up!" Eddie's mood lowering "That's freaking
disgusting" Eddie squealed as I threw up my lunch in the bin and Eddie held my hair back

"Thanks, and we don't know if she's dead" I growled
as Eddie's cheeks tinted

"She's not dead. She m-m-m-missing."

"Sorry, Cali and Bill. Shes missing" he corrected
himself as we began to walk but I walked behind
Richard, beside Eddie

"You know the Barrens aren't that bad. Who doesn't
love splashing around in the shitty water?" Before he
could go on Bowers grabbed his bag and threw him
on top of me and Stanley as we all groaned. but of
course Patrick picked up Stanley's kippah.

"Nice Frisbee, Flamer" which caused his friends to
laugh, he seemed pretty happy since he apparently
thought he was the funny one

"Give it back." then He threw it into a bus.

"Fuckin' losers." They commented as Belch burped
into Eddie's ear and I gagged

"Losers" Bowers whispered as he bumped shoulders
with Bill

"You s-s-s-suck, Bowers." we all stopped and looked
at him "Shut up, Bill"

"Did you s-s-s-say something, B-b-b-b-Billy. You got
a free ride this year cuz of your little brother. Ride's
over, Denbrough." He spoke as him and his goons
turned around and walked towards us.

"Stop acting all tough Bowers, you think you're so
cool in front of your stupid little goons but we all
know you're a little fucking pussy" I spoke up
standing next to Bill as i shoved Bowers which just
made him anger "Calista!" Someone whispered harshly.

"What did you say" his head snapped towards me.

"Sorry, Did i you want me to say it slower" i teased
but i quickly regretted it when he punched me in the
face which caused me to drop to the ground.

"This is summer is gonna be a hurt-train. for you and
your faggot friends.

But his eyes trained on his father so he licked his
hand then wiped it on Billy's face as they walked
away snickering at us.

"Are you okay?!" Eddie and Richie asked constantly
as they gripped on to me so i harshly got of their
grip

"I'm Fine." Liar. as we all approached the curb watching the 3 dickheads climb into their car and drive off.

"I wish he'd go missing" Riche commented.

"He's probably the one doing it." Eddie said giving
Bowers a smug look but i was sick of this since my
cheek was in immense pain.

"I Better go before my mum freaks out. See ya guys."

I grabbed my bike and rode home because i did not
want them to see my cheek that i could feel bruising.
