"What in merlin's name--" Sarai muttered to herself as she reread the names on the map. The Map never showed any of the ghosts from Hogwarts, and seeing as Remus was one of the original creators, Sarai highly doubted that the map could have been wrong.
And suddenly the realization sunk in,
Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew.
At least one of those names in that huddle was a killer, and her friend and uncle were stuck down there with them.
Sarai snatched the map up from off of the desk and gripped her wand tightly as she ran out of the classroom. The rest of the castle was a blur as she made her way down the corridors. She had hardly noticed the two figures she had passed as she rounded the corridor to make her way down the steps of the third floor.
Sarai's heart was pounding nearly out of her chest. She could hardly feel her legs as she ran through the castle. All she really thought about was Remus, and Hermione. Mostly, Remus. Once she had reached the stairs leading outside the castle she squinted her eyes to makeout the figures of the group.
There, Hermione was tending to Ron Weasley, who's leg was looking mangled and bloody. Sarai noticed the chain linked on Ron's arms to a whimpering man. His thin colorless hair was unkempt and dangling over his face, covering his unconscious face. It was a plump figure, with grubby skin, who looked like he was groveling to Ron, whom wore a disgusted look on his face. nearby, there was Remus, who was keeping a close watch on the man, wan pointed in his direction not daring to falter. Sarai's head snapped over to see Harry potter, and the man whose face she'd seen all over the newspapers, and wanted posters: Sirius Black.
She gulped, trying to choke down the fear the crawled to her throat. Black had looked dreadful. A mass of filthy, matted hair hung to his elbows. If eyes hadn't been shining out of the deep, dark sockets, he might have been a corpse. The waxy skin was stretched so tightly over the bones of his face, it looked like a skull. His yellow teeth were bared in a smile. Harry stood next to him, with a grin as wide as his face.
"What the fuck is going on?" Sarai whispered aloud to herself, when she noticed Professor Snape floating in mid-air near Harry and Black. He looked undoubtedly unconscious.
Sarai creeped closer, clutching her wand tightly, as she focused on being unseen. "Dissimularis," She whispered allowing a thin film to form around her. The world around her looked as if she was underwater, as she crept closer to the group. She remained unseen from the affects of the spell, as she walked across the field with ease.
"You know what this means?" Black asked Harry, as Sarai silently approached. "Turning Pettigrew in."
Sarai furrowed her brows, as more confusion clouded her head. She made her way quickly to one of the giant pumpkins from Hagrid's patch.
"You're free." Said Harry.
"Yes," Said Black. "But I'm also--I don't know if anyone has ever told you---I'm Sarai's father. And your Godfather."
Sarai glared furiously at the backs of their heads. She could hardly hear the rest of the conversation as she turned her head back to see Remus, Hermione, and Ron.
"One wrong move, Peter!" Remus warned, his wand pointed at Peter's throat.
Suddenly the world went still. A cloud shifted, there was suddenly dim shadows on the ground, and the group's party was bathed in moonlight. The full moon's light.
Sarai could see Remus's silhouette. He had gone rigid. Then his limbs began to shake. Sarai gasped as his wand dropped from his hands. Peter, the lump of the man made to dive for the fallen wand, but Sarai was quicker.
"PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!"She yelled with all her might.
Peter's legs and arms snapped together and fell to the ground. Before Sarai could think, nor the party could move to look in her direction, a terrible snarling noise erupted. Sarai's vision snapped to Remus's silhouettes. His head was lengthening. So was his body. His shoulders were hunching, hair sprouting visibly on his face and hands which were curling into clawed paws. As the werewolf reared, snapping it's long jaws, Sarai saw Black run towards Remus and quickly transform into a familiar form.
Snuffles, bounded towards the werewolf and seized his neck and pulled it back away from Ron and a fallen Pettigrew.
"Don't hurt him!" Sarai cried out running out from the pumpkin patch.
The spell she had placed on herself, was gone. She hadn't known nor hardly cared as she ran towards the group. Snuffles snapped his jaw open in surprise as she approached allowing the werewolf to wring free from his grip.
There was a howl and a rumbling growl; Sarai turned to see the werewolf flailing it's limbs and bounded towards her. the next part happened so fast, Sarai didn't have a chance to blink.
One minute she was yelling at Snuffles to not hurt the werewolf, the next moment, she was on the ground.
There was a ringing in her ear, as she felt a face full of dirt. Her head was pounding as she opened her eyes to see blood on her hand resting beside her. Her vision was blurry as she clutched the sharp stinging pain on her nose. She could see a large black figure in front of her, back facing her. Once again, her vision faded black.
