Raido stood for a moment, staring intently at the furious Sewaddle, his mind racing as he contemplated their next move. This wild Pokémon was proving to be a surprisingly formidable opponent, and Raido knew they would need to come up with a strategy to overcome it.
As his graze switched to Nidoran, who was covered in dirt and scuffs from the previous attacks, a sudden spark of inspiration flashed across Raido's face. His eyes light up with determination. Brushing his fringe to the side with a smirk, a plan formed in his mind.
"This Sewaddle sure means business," he remarked to Nidoran, his voice filled with confidence. "So we're going to finish this off in one big hit!"
Nidoran nodded in agreement, her eyes gleaming with determination as Raido continued to outline his plan. "Store up as much venom as you can, girl," he advised, watching as Nidoran's horn began to emit a purple glow.
"We'll need a clear hit, Nidoran," Raido instructed, his voice firm. "So be ready to counterattack when we have an opening."
Nidoran nodded once more, a fierce fire burning in her eyes as she prepared to face Sewaddle once again."Let's win this!" Raido shouted, his voice ringing out with determination. "Charge!"
Nidoran tensed her muscles and lunged forward, charging at Sewaddle with incredible speed. "Use Scratch!" Raido commanded.
As Nidoran leaped into the air, her claws glowing a hot white, Sewaddle prepared to evade the attack. But to Raido's satisfaction, the wild Pokémon launched a large, sticky String Shot missile towards Nidoran.
"Now, Nidoran!" he yelled.
With lightning-fast reflexes, Nidoran gracefully dodged the incoming attack, narrowly avoiding the sticky webbing. Seizing the opportunity, she launched herself towards the defenceless Sewaddle, her horn glowing with venomous energy.
"Poison Sting, now! Hit it with all you've got!" Raido cried out.
Firing through the air like a bullet, Nidoran collided with Sewaddle with incredible force, her Poison Sting attack landing directly on target. With a piercing shriek, Sewaddle was sent flying across the grassy verge, landing heavily on the ground in a heap. As the dust settled, and Raido and Nidoran awaited confirmation eagerly, it was clear that Sewaddle was unable to battle any more, defeated.
Raido's hopeful expression turned to one of pure excitement as he leaped into the air, pumping his fist with exhilaration. Nidoran's ears perked up, her eyes shining with pride as she bounded towards Raido, leaping into his arms."I'm so proud of you, girl!" Raido exclaimed, tears of joy welling up in his eyes as he hugged Nidoran tightly. Together, they celebrated their hard-fought victory, the beginning of a powerful companionship forged in battle.
Raido approached the fainted Sewaddle with a gentle smile, his heart filled with admiration for the resilient Pokémon. He reached out and plucked an Oran Berry from a nearby bush, offering it to Sewaddle, who eagerly consumed the healing fruit. As Sewaddle regained consciousness, a glint of gratitude shone in its eyes as it looked up at Raido.
"Congratulations on a tough, well-fought battle," Raido praised, patting Sewaddle gently on the head. "You fought valiantly."
Sewaddle seemed to swell with pride at the words of praise from such a spirited trainer. Raido explained to Sewaddle that he wished he could take it along on his journey, but without any Poké Balls yet, they would have to part ways for now. "But maybe we'll meet again, my friend," Raido reassured Sewaddle, who nodded in understanding.
Nidoran chirped in agreement, showing her acceptance to Sewaddle. With a final trill of farewell, Sewaddle retreated back into the shrubbery, its head held high with newfound hope. Raido watched the tiny creature disappear into the wilderness, feeling a sense of hope himself that their paths might cross again one day.
"Our first victory," Raido spoke, his voice filled with determination as he rubbed Nidoran's head affectionately. "Our next is soon to follow, girl. Now, let's continue on the road to Cherrygrove!"
With a triumphant shout, Raido punched the air, his fiery determination shining in his eyes. Nidoran smiled, ready to continue their journey alongside her new partner. Together, they set off once again, their hearts filled with excitement and anticipation for the adventures that lay ahead.
