Y/n is in a council meeting, she has a hangover but chooses to ignore it and doesn't seem to recall the events of last night. 'I don't get it, I ate the cake Jade gave me, suddenly blacked out, and now I have a massive hangover..." Y/n's thoughts get interrupted as a nobleman speaks to her, "Grand Duchess, how do you feel about becoming the queen of the nation? It could greatly benefit the kingdom to have someone of your status and standing as our queen!" Everyone agrees and McKenna faces away dejected and Heinry is about to refuse however, someone else does it for him. "No." It was said in a cold, blunt tone.
"Heinry is truly more like a brother to me and I would be disgusted with myself to be in a relationship with one I consider my brother and I don't even want to imagine it. End of discussion."
The meeting was silent and the atmosphere was frosty. everyone was scared that they had angered the grand Duchess but she just sighed displeased and got up to leave. "Listen, unless Heinry chooses to Marry them for his own feelings, I won't accept any queen candidates that dare to enter these palace halls. I have no intentions of Marrying someone I have no romantic feelings for."
Y/n then walks out and all of the noble men sigh in relief, their lives having been spared. McKenna suddenly felt weird in his chest, his heart is very happy but at the same time he feels sad at her last sentence. Still happy though he lowers his "You heard Y/n, Please refrain from pressing the matter to me or her anymore." The meeting then ends and Heinry takes McKenna to his room to talk privately.

I look at McKenna as I sit him on a chair right in front of me as I sit on the bed. "Now that she isn't going to Marry me can you finally be at peace now and stop avoiding Y/n!?" I glare while pouting at him. McKenna sweats and looks away, "Y-yes" He responds Nervously. I look at him suspiciously, "Is something wrong?" McKenna blushes and runs out. "The Hell?!"

I look in the mirror to myself blushing madly and I retreat to my room so I can hide my face, so no one sees my blush. 'I swear I need to put an Alcohol Ban on her!!!'

Y/n is working on her work and is still trying to get over her hangover when a maid comes in her room. "Heinry invited you to have dinner with him and another guest." Y/n is surprised and thinks to herself, "I guess I have time, tell him I'll be heading there soon."
*At Dinner*
Y/n walks to the dining room and when she enters she sees McKenna there and things are still awkward so they just sit there in the awkward silence for a few minutes. Meanwhile Heinry is watching from outside the door.
Y/n can't takes it anymore and speaks up. "Ok, McKenna, I need to ask you something and answer me as honestly as possible!" McKenna heard some... irritation in her voice and he just nodded.
"Are you mad at me?"
The words shook him, why would he hate her? He loves her dearly. what would make her think that? Then it brought him back to last night.
"The reason I'm crying is because, you've been avoiding me, ignoring me, and refusing me... please tell me why?!"
"NO!" McKenna yells this by accident, "Ehem, I mean no." Y/n gets up from the table and slams her hands on the table. "Than why have you been acting strange, why have you been avoiding me like a plague and why are you still acting weird around me just tell me the truth!" McKenna tells a half truth. "I thought you remembered what happened last night."
Y/n gets confused by this by this, "What do you mean last night? that doesn't explain why you've been acting weird for days! so-" Y/n gets a rush to a head and falls to her knees, McKenna rushes to her, "Y/n! what's wro-" "McKenna... I-I" Y/n lifted her head up.

"I'M SO SORRY!!!!" She runs to her room and without a second McKenna runs after her. 'Guess she remembered... fuck.' When Y/n gets in her room she slams the door shut. McKenna knocks on the door and tries to force the door open until Jade shows up out of no where.
"Allow me sir McKenna." Jade bows politely as she pulls a hairpin from her hair and uses it as a lockpick. "Before you enter sir McKenna allow me to give some advice." Jade whispers something in his ear. "McKenna looks down and nods, "O-ok." McKenna walks in to see Y/n on her bed hiding under her blanket.
McKenna gets on the bed and sits in front of her, "I-I-I am so sorry McKenna!" McKenna places a hand on her head. "It's not your fault, I should've left the room or stopped you." Y/n lifts the blanket slightly to where you can see her lips and nose but not her eyes. "No! It's my fault as well! I should've at least try to stop myself and not put you through a situation like that."
McKenna sighs at this, "You know better than anyone else you can't control yourself when your drunk." Suddenly though, after a few moments of silence Y/n changes the subject. "You said your reason for your behavior recently was because of last night but..." She clenches her blanket "what about before that." Those words are the words that McKenna had feared to hear. "I was worried and... Jealous." McKenna gets out. "About what?" McKenna looks away, "You getting a husband." Y/n is confused by this, "Why would you feel that way? Why would you care If and who I get married too."
McKenna clenches his fists and looks up at her place his hands on her shoulders with a flushd and frustrated look on his face.
