Chapter 5

Y/n wasn't actually heading to her room. She was waiting on Navier. But then she heard an argument between Soveishit, Trashta, Navier, and Heinry. "Don't worry Empress, I'll tell everyone far and wide about The Emperor's Blunder." I step in, "No need to waste your voice Prince Heinry I was already on it!" I smile.

"Huh Grand Duchess Y/n why are you here I thought you were going to your room?" Navier asked. "And What do you mean you were already on it?" Y/n smiles at Navier and say, "On the first day I saw and heard two nobles talking about it and asked Them about it and I told them what I heard from my lady in Waiting, Jade Villette." Navier and Soveishit looked shock and Rashta just looked confused.

"Anyways Empress Navier there is something I wished to discuss with you if you will please meet me in the garden for tea." Navier smiles and says "I'd love to." Y/n Smiles and walks away happy. 

     *At the lily garden*

I was sipping my tea as I see Navier come to the table I'm sitting at in Beautiful red gown. "you look absolutely Beautiful Empress Navier!" I say as My Eye's glimmer while looking at her. "Why thank you." Navier says gratefully. "Now then Empress Navier I'm sorry but I would like to make a bold accusation." Navier was confused. "What do you mean." I look at her as I open her mouth. "Are you perhaps the recipient of my letters? They come from a bird named Velvet."

Navier then looked surprised. "Yes but how did you figure it out?" I smile at her. "At the dinner you said you knew who the recipient of Heinry's letters was and Rashta and Cherini knew some of the letter's contents and I heard that one of your ladies in waiting recently left and started to serve Rashta. finally the final clue is, The recipient of my letters is the Same as Heinry's."

As I explained my reasoning I saw Navier put the dots together. "I see, so what do you want ar your reward?"  "On the last dance of the new years ceremony I want to be the one to have the final dance?" I say happily as I sip my tea. "But technically you won the bet as well." Navier looked confused, "Huh how did I win." I finish my tea and say, "The things you listed as your prize I was going to do anyway! I would love to remain pen pals and of course you have permission to call her Vel, Vel doesn't usually like people but she's take a shine to you, and For my letter Vel will always remain The messenger."

Navier smiles at this and I just wanna let out a big squeal. Just as we were going to continue to drink more tea and chat, The emperor has called for Navier. "you can go if you wish Navier but I do ask that you please comeback afterwards!" Navier nods and then leaves.

I walk into the room and see Rashta Clinging to Soveishu. "You called for me?" I say as I stare Blankly at Soveishu. "Yes I was wondering if you could make space for one guest in the special banquet." I look at him with surprise, "Did high priest Vimirey or high wizard Calenzalo say they could attend?" AS I start to think on what to do if they said they could attend Soveishu ruins my train of thought.

"No I'd like to invite Rashta to the special Banquet." I just give him a frosty look. "One, your majesty, It would be a difficult request to make of our guests even if we wanted to invite the high priest of high wizard. How can we ask a guest to give up there place for your mistress." I say as i continue to give him and Rashta a frosty look. "Two, did you forget what Grand Duchess said yesterday and how she felt terribly offended at Rashta's presence. Do you want to make her feel offended again because while she is a very good ally she could also be the Empire's worst enemy all by herself and with western kingdom backing her up I don't even want to imagine it."

"So to put it simply No I will not be inviting your mistress." I say coldly as I leave and while I leave I notice that Soveishu looks agitated. Once I am out I sigh as I make my way back to tea with Y/n.

I Mingle with Navier and Heinry for a little and I also speak to princess Circe for a short bit and what fun character she is. 'Hmm. I think Rashta might be spreading weird rumors in the banquet hall.... Oh well nothing Jade can't handle, and if needed I'll tell the nobles what I heard as someone who currently resides in the castle and only speaks truth should! I can't let any bad rumors about Navier spread now can I!' When I turn around I see grand duke Kaufman staring at me but as soon as he sees me notice him he turns away, 'huh, odd?'

After a while we heard news from the banquet Hall and Me and Navier and Soveishit, sadly, rush over there. Once Soveishu brings Rashta to her room, I ask around for anything Rashta told them. "Lady Rashta send she received an invitation but she declined it!" Navier is back at the special Banquet so i begin to explain everything to the nobles. "Rashta didn't receive and invitation and in fact she was wining and crying about it like a child."

"Also not to mention her attitude at the dinner party yesterday! she kept on questioning me on who I was since she heard I was from common backgrounds and I felt offended that a mistress was questioning my hard earned place as grand duchess." All the nobles gasped and I smirked at the things they said, "She's a runaway slave that did nothing to be a mistress but Lady Y/n had to do everything she could to gain her position!" and stuff like, "Honestly I'm not that surprised she is just a slave after all." and my personal favorite, "She lied to us! and attempted to harm the Empress's reputation! The gall!"

"One more thing I hear That baron Lante told everyone that Heinry and the Emperor were fighting over Rashta's beauty and I got jealous so I became violent towards Rashta?" They all nodded yes. "I'm not surprised the Baron said that because that must've been what he originally assumed but as someone who actually attended the dinner party, I felt I must clear up the truth, Heinry and the Emperor were fighting over the fact that Rashta Lied about being the recipient of the letters, Heinry thought they were making a mockery of the western Kingdom and as for me I just simply said this ,  I feel quite offended that a Mere mistress is attending such event because it feels like your mocking our status."

All the nobles gasp. "Oh very true though!", and "Considering Lady Y/n's current situation I can see why she felt offended," and Poor prince Heinry! He probably felt bad about being deceived twice!" and similar murmurs began to spread across the room.

'Say goodbye to your reputation Bitch!' I smirk while sipping from my glass of red wine.
