When McKenna looked up he saw Y/n let go of the blanket and he felt his collar being grabbed. Next thing he knew Y/n's lips were smashed against his. He didn't realize what was happening but he felt warm and he felt his blood rush to his cheeks. He wrapped his arms around her because he didn't want it to end and he didn't want to let her go. The kiss eventually ended and he was breathing heavily, trying to process what just happened. "You know, I was wondering, why Have I been feeling weird around you. But... I see now, it was because..." Y/n pulls him in for another kiss and when it ends, "I love you too."
Both of their faces were red, Y/n's arms around his neck and his arms around her back. "Is this why you looked relieved after the meeting earlier?" McKenna was surprised and looked away. "You noticed?"
Y/n nods and lies down and brings McKenna with her. "Of course I did!" Y/n playfully pouts as she tightens her embrace. "Kenna, be honest with me, how long have you felt this way." McKenna blushes "I started having these feelings after our second meeting... but I was in a bit of denial considering we have only just met but after several more interactions with you I thought of it more as a crush." Y/n pets McKenna's head as they are on the bed and he drifts to sleep and dreams of a memory from years ago.

Heinry spoke while sitting on his bed in his room. "I have not taken a shine it's just she is interesting to me..." Heinry deadpans as McKenna says this, "Your joking right now, right?" Heinry sighs as he stands up. "Go to the Zemensia estate and talk to her ok." McKenna shakes his head vigorously, "You can't make me."

"It's nice to see you!" Y/n smiles as she sit's on the opposite side couch and McKenna blushes lightly. "Jade, If you could get us some tea!" Jade bows and nods, then leaves too get some tea. "You have a lady in waiting?" McKenna asks, "No, Jade is just helping me with different noble etiquettes since I am still new to them, after I learn everything I should know she will have to stop and go back to her household." Y/n says with a sad smile. 'Great job, Idiot you Just dampened the mood.' Y/n Notices him looking down and changes the subject, "It's not like we won't see each other again! I'll be in high society and I'll be able to spend more time with her!" McKenna smiles at her attempt to make him feel better, Jade comes back with the tea and leaves after serving, taking note of McKenna's thoughts, 'at least he isn't ill intentioned towards her.' Jade smiles as she closes the door. "
Is there anything about High society your worried about?" As she hears his question she rests her hand on her palm and thinks. "I'd have to say, I'm most worried about my common backgrounds, I doubt nobles will take kindly to a former commoner joining their ranks." McKenna nods in understanding, "Just use what you learn from Jade and take note of how other nobles act. If it makes you feel better, I wasn't all that accepted at first however I managed to gain respect over time." McKenna takes a sip of the tea, "Really, may I ask why you weren't that accepted ?" Y/n asks, as she stirs a spoon of sugar in her tea. "To put it simply I'm an illegitimate child, I won't go into detail but being Illegitimate can sometimes be considered worse than being a commoner who was adopted, because at least noble blood wasn't tainted all too much." McKenna looks dejected while explaining so Y/n gets and goes in front of him and pets his head. "On the bright side, look were you are now, you're here bonding with someone about it, so don't worry about it okay." McKenna was a little surprised when he felt a hand on his head, and he wouldn't it admit but he loved the feeling of her hand on his head. Y/n sat back down and continued to play with his hair, "Your has is so long, It's fun to play with!" Y/n smiles gently, and McKenna blushes. "Please don't cut it anytime soon!" McKenna in the moment just nods and smiles as he looks at her.

When McKenna wakes up from the memory Y/n is fast asleep in his arms and she cuddles in closer as she snores softly. 'I thought this was a dream, I didn't want to make up, but This is reality, she is in my arms.... I will savor my moments with her, I will always be thankful of the blissful moments we may have, so please stay with me.' McKenna kisses her forehead gently, 'Even when I die, My feelings will live, and when I die, i hope your there... right by my side." McKenna drifts back to sleep as he tightens his embrace around Y/n."
