Chapter 4

Axel's POV

I stopped at the warehouse after lunch to check out the security footage. A guy in the gang, Rob, stole from me.

"Someone find him and bring him down to the basement. I'm heading back to school, I'll be back  so keep him occupied while i'm gone." I say to everyone.

They all nod and everyone goes back to respective forms while I get back in my car.

I arrive at school again and head to my next class, which is study hall, and text Jax and Jay in our groupchat to see if they know where Daisy is.

She's in Mr. Smiths physics rn. Don't go barging in or you'll get a detention. Jay replies.

I wait outside the classroom while there's only 5 minutes left of class. The bell eventually rings and Daisy comes out with a frown on her face.

"What happened?" I asked and I approached her.

"I don't understand the formulas. At my old school I was in Chemistry not Physics so more behind than everyone else." she says with a frown

"I can ask you to be switched to my class. We can sit next to each other and I'll help you out."

"Yay! Thanks Axel, you're the best!" she says with the biggest fucking smile on her face.

I go to reply but before I can, she surprises me by putting her arms around my waist. I stand there shocked for a second, before I finally wrap my arms around her tiny frame finishing the hug.

When she pulls away I look up hearing heels clicking on the floor coming our way.

"For fucks sake"

"Axel, baby! I know today at lunch wasn't very pleasant but my birthday party is this weekend and I was wondering if you wanted to come?" Jennifer says batting her eyelashes that look like roaches on her face.

"Fuck no, especially not how you talked to Daisy. Don't you think you have something to say to her?" I reply as I look down at Daisy who's looking at the ground fiddling with her fingers.

"Hell no that bitch doesn't deserve to hear any word that comes out of my mouth. Speaking of, why is she still standing here?"

I roll my eyes and take Daisy's hand leading us down the hall. Since school is over, I'm going to need to head back to the warehouse.

"Do you have a ride home?" I ask Daisy.

"No, I'm going to walk."

"I'll take you home."

"No it's okay! My dad is expecting me to walk, and I don't want to disobey him."

I don't like the idea of her walking home, especially since she's new in town. But I really don't have much time to argue right now, that I have to have a talk with Rob.

"Okay. Get home safe though. I'll see you tomorrow sweetheart."

"Okay! Bye Axel!"

I watch her walk away before heading in my car and driving off.
