Slingshot? (Chapter 5)

"You tryna teach me how to be a superhero?" - Jayden

"Sure"
"Meet me at mcdonalds in like 20 mins"
-Nancy

Nancy put on a black hoodie and sweats then headed out to the McDonald's to meet Jayden.

"Bout to walk in"
-Nancy

"Alr"
-Jayden

"What's good Nancy" said Jayden

"Nothing, just getting ready to teach you how to stop a mugger" said Nancy

"Atleast I tried my best" said Jayden

"You're best is almost dying?" said Nancy

"I would've got him if you didn't interfere okay." said Jayden

"Well I still saved you" said Nancy

"Whatever, Let's go order" said Jayden

They walked to the cashier and ordered there food.

"So, are we eating here or to go" said Jayden

"To go, it's gonna take a while to get to the warehouse" said Nancy

"Alright, lead the way" said Jayden

They walked to the warehouse and got rid of their trash along the way. When they got to the warehouse Nancy began setting up to test Jayden's powers.

"Alright, first is speed so your just going to run a 40 using your superspeed" said Nancy

"Okay, this should be easy" said Jayden

When Jayden was ready he took off with Nancy starting the timer milliseconds before he started running.

"How was that" said Jayden

"1.16 seconds, not bad at all but my time was 0.84" said Nancy

"Just wait till I get used to this then I'll probably run a 0.50" said Jayden

"Yeah, in your dreams" said Nancy

"Well what's next" said Jayden

"Strength" said Nancy

They walked over to an old unused car.

"Damn, how much does this way" said Jayden

"Probably like 1 ton" said Nancy

"Should be light then. Hopefully" said Jayden

Then, Jayden tried picking up the car but couldn't pick it up.

"Well, no super strength" said Nancy

"I can probably fly" said Jayden

"You wanna test that then" said Nancy

"Yeah, I'll try it" said Jayden

Jayden went up onto the roof of the warehouse and Nancy stayed on the ground just in case she had to catch him.

"Ready when you are!" Shouted Nancy

"I'm ready!" Shouted Jayden

"Alright!" Shouted Nancy

Then, Jayden jumped from the roof and tried to fly. He thought about floating and gliding through the sky but nothing was working. He even thought about planes and helicopters but he couldn't take off. So Nancy ran to catch him and she jumped to grab him but instead she just broke his fall.

"You okay Nancy?" Said Jayden

"Yeah but you need to get back in the weight room" said Nancy

"I don't even way that much" said Jayden who was now laughing

"Can you please get off me now" said Nancy

"My bad, my bad" said Jayden, still laughing

"We still got one more test" said Nancy

"What is i--, where did that come from" said Jayden as he dodged a rock that Nancy threw at him.

"The ground" said Nancy

"Ok, did I pass" said Jayden

"Yeah, you passed and you also have some enhanced sense or senses" said Nancy

"That's good to know, so I don't accidentally run through someone like A-Train" said Jayden

"Who's that?" Said Nancy

"You never seen The Boys?" Said Jayden

"No, I've heard of it though, is it good?" said Nancy

"Yeah it's good" said Jayden

"I'll watch it sometime this week then. But did you think of a name yet" said Nancy

"Yeah, I think I'll be called Slingshot" said Jayden

"Ok, might be better than my name"

"It already is. What time is it though?"

"It's 6:34" said Nancy

"I gotta get home, I'll see you tomorrow" said Jayden

"Alright" said Nancy

Then she saw Jayden disappear once again leaving a blue spark trail.
