The next day, Nancy was fully healed from her wound but she still had some stomach pain so she took an Advil and did her assignments for school.

Then, she went on a walk to clear her head and think of a new strategy against the Red Dragon.

"I can't just go at him like that again. I didn't even use my speed, what was I thinking. I could've easily beat him had I just been less ignorant."

Then, she got a text from Jayden

"You doin ok?" -Jayden

"I'm good jus some stomach pain" -Nancy

"That's good" -Jayden

"You want me to go on patrol wit u tonight" -Jayden

"Sure" -Nancy

Nancy continued walking and eventually decided to get something to eat while she was out and went to the park to eat. As she sat on the bench eating she saw some kids running around and remembered what it was like to be a kid. She remembered what it was like to have no worries and just be free and have fun.

When Nancy was done she walked back home. When she walked in the door she noticed that her mom didn't seem to happy then saw Emma sitting on the couch.

"I-I don't know what to do, he just he just took her and left me." Said Emma with tears streaming down her face.

"What happened, Emma why are you crying?" Said Nancy

"He took my mom" said Emma

Then Nancy knew who it was. She knew it was her father but acted like she didn't know.

"Who?" Said Nancy

"My dad" said Emma

"Why'd he take her?" Said Nancy

"I don't know, but it was probably because she yelled at him on the phone, I don't know what he's gonna do to her" said Emma

Then, Emma burst into tears again and Nancy said "Should we call the cops or try and call her"

"I don't know, I don't think the cops will find her" said Emma

"We'll find her Emma" said Nancy

"It's been three hours and still nothing. She might be dead." Said Emma

"She's not dead Emma." Said Nancy

Then Nancy walked to her closet and grabbed her suit. 

"What's that?" Said Emma

"It's my suit" said Nancy

"Wait. Your Celerity?" Said Emma

"Yeah" said Nancy

"Are you going to get my mom?" Said Emma with a smile starting to form

"Yeah, and yesterday night I confronted your dad and he almost killed me. But before that he gave his long supervillain monologue, talking about how he wanted to kill you and your mom for his benefit and everything. Said Nancy

"Why would he wanna do that?" Said Emma

"I don't know, he just said he wouldn't have to worry. He also told me your mom was threatening him and saying she abused you so that could've been why he took her." Said Nancy

"Well, she never abused me but she did threaten to kill him multiple times. But go and find her please, I don't know if I can go any longer without." Said Emma

Then Nancy said "I will, and if I'm not back by midnight can you cover for me?"

"I got you" said Emma

"Thanks" said Nancy, jumping out the window

"Meet me at the powerplant" -Nancy
