In the stillness of the night, the soft hum of the capsules filled the air, cocooning Chase and Adam in a comforting embrace. As Chase drifted into unconsciousness, his mind began to wander, replaying the events of the evening over and over.

But amidst the quiet of the night, Chase's thoughts were interrupted by a sudden realization that sent a jolt of panic through him. What he felt for Adam...It didn't feel like it was just gratitude. Sure, he was absolutely grateful for the time they spent together in which he did not receive a a single punch or throw.

This was something deeper, something Chase didn't dare acknowledge...he couldn't. He didn't need bionic intelligence to realize that. You don't need to be the smartest person on the planet to realize that having feelings for your brother is wrong. Could it just be because he hasn't had a girl hug him in months? Is he just touched starved? Yeah...that had to be it...It doesn't help that he's essentially trapped on an island in which the only females around were his sister and his students - many of whose names he hadn't even learned.

But as he stood in the darkness, Chase couldn't shake the feeling that his affection for Adam went beyond brotherly love. His heart raced as he grappled with the weight of this revelation, unsure of what it meant for their relationship. He decided that whatever he was feeling, Adam could never know.

Beside him, the older boy stirred in his sleep, his peaceful expression tugging at Chase's heartstrings. He really was handsome, and that's just objective fact. He made a mental note to ask Douglas who their biological mother was, if they even had one. She must have been beautiful. Either that or Douglas just did a fantastic job all by himself.

Chase finally felt slumber take over. That was a question for another day.
