As the bus squeaked to a halt in front of Davenport Tower, Adam's reminiscing was interrupted by the nerves in his stomach.

*Ding* "Now stopping at Davenport Tower," the airy voice declared.

Adam stood up and sent one last text to Bree

Adam: "Getting off the bus now. See ya in a minute"

Adam locked his phone and stepped off the bus, staring high into the sky. 'Damn, this thing is huge,' he thought to himself as he walked into the lobby of the building. He found the elevator and stepped in, staring at the 110 buttons with the top labeled "PENTHOUSE".

Pushing the top one and expecting a long ride, Adam was surprised that the elevator ascended with such speed, the digital numbers flicking by. When he reached the top, he stepped off and took a deep breath as he faced the door to the penthouse, his new home. After months apart, he was going to see his family again.

Adam knocked on the door.

Bree swung the door open and jumped up to wrap her arms around her big brother's neck.

"I missed you so much," she squealed with a smiled. Adam held her close, not wanting to let her go again.

"I missed you too," he replied warmly.

Bree ushered him in. "Come in, hurry! You remember Kaz and Oliver, right? They were at Mighty Med."

The two superheroes waved, exchanging greetings with the oldest bionic sibling.

A slender brunette approached and offered a small smile. Bree turned to acknowledge her. "And I'm sure you remember Skylar. She was also at Mighty Med. Long story short, she's an alien and got her powers back, you know how it is."

Adam said his hellos to the Elite Force.

"Your capsule arrived a little before you did. It's in our room. Mr. Davenport has us split up boy/girl, not sure why," Oliver mused.

Skylar rolled her eyes and huffed, "well, I am more than happy with the arrangement."

Oliver pouted in response.

"Yep, we told the movers to put it next to Chase's. I'm not sure how you guys sleep in those freaky things. Personally, I like being horizontal with some nice pillows," Kaz stated.

Adam swallowed as he heard the name. He slapped on a fake smile.

"Yeah, well, been doing it all my life. Kinda have to."

Bree could sense Adam's discomfort.

"Why don't I help you unpack? I wanna hear all about how the academy is doing later. Oh, and I have superpowers now," Bree smirked.

Adam stared at her in bewilderment with an expression that said 'okay, we are definitely talking about that' as the others continued about their day.

Bree followed Adam into the boys' quarters, shutting the door behind her before sitting on a bean bag chair nearby, offering Adam to join her.

"Alright, bro. Spill. Mr. Davenport said you were joining the Elite Force, but obviously that's not the reason you are here," Bree declared with a knowing look.

Adam gulped and fiddled with his hands. "I miss him, Bree...I miss Chase, but....I have no idea if he feels that same way."

Bree shifted her weight so her full attention was on her brother. "Adam...you know he's been very lonely right? Has he never told you?"

Adam shook his head, concern mixed with hope filling his chest.

"Chase has been clinging to us for weeks, he even straight up told me about how lonely he was, although I think he is in more pain than he lets on. There was an incident where he tried to build an AI android girlfriend for himself, and she ended up liking Kaz. He built like ten more, and they ALL went for Kaz...it really hurt him."
