Ian and Melanie had been given direct orders not to have any contact with Friday.
Not because she was a risk but because Agent Gillard didn't want Friday found.
She knew that if they actually going Friday that she would have to have Friday at the trial and question her and the whole process would take longer.
She was convinced that if Friday wasn't there, then they could solve it faster and get Friday back to work.
So what did Ian do after being told not to go look for her?
He went and looked for her. But Friday seemed to have disappeared.
"She's getting quite good at this going in the run thing, isn't she?" Melanie said, flopping down on Ian's bed after he dragged her around the city all day.
Ian sighed. She was getting very good at going on the run. But he supposed that was a good thing.
Until they could clear up her charges, she was better off in hiding.
