(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

When you signed up for team manager of Nekoma, you didn't realize you would become a babysitter. You learned from the very start they were a chaotic bunch. With the two third years ALWAYS finding something to argue about, Yamamoto is constantly flirting with unsuspecting girls, and our lazy, video game obsessed setter. If you're being honest, you would say the setter was the hardest to deal with.

The Nekoma volleyball team was currently at a training camp. It was time for lights out and the setter was nowhere to be seen.

"(Y/n)," Kuroo called as you walked out of the bathroom, letting all boys run in. You're glad they were at least decent enough to let you use it first before they went and destroyed it. "D'you mind finding Kenma for me? You're the manager it's your job to manage players, right?" He said when he noticed you were about to decline.

You sighed, Kuroo thanked you as he walked into the bathroom, not leaving you a chance to respond. Rolling your eyes, you began searching for the setter.

"Kenma?"

...

"Kenma, are you in here?"

...

"Kenma!"

The setter jumped at his name and turned to look at you. Your arms were placed on your hips, frustration plastered on your face. You've been looking for him for a whole hour. Finally, you had found him in the hall at a dead end, leaned back against the wall playing his stupid video games.

"Do you know how long I've been looking for you?"

He frowned, "I wasn't gone for very long."

"I've been looking for you for the past hour! The others are probably already asleep!" You whisper-yelled. Kenma flinched and lowered his head toward his phone.

"I just wanted to finish this level. I finally figured out how to defeat the boss," Kenma explained softly, as if he was trying not to make you even more angry. You appreciated the thought.

Sighing you sat beside him, which startled the 2nd year.

"What game?"

"What-?"

"What game are you playing?" You inquired, leaning your head against his shoulder. You could feel his face heat up from the small interaction, you thought he might push you off but all he did was clear his throat.

"Well, they came out with the new mobile game that was supposed to be pretty difficult," Kenma started in a quiet voice.

You raised an eyebrow, while watching him attack a boss with a flick of his finger. "Is it?"

He glanced at you for a moment before returning his eyes to the screen, "It's honestly not that hard...I could probably teach you..."

You jumped to your knees and faced him, "Really?!"

Kenma looked to the side and nodded, a light blush coated his cheeks, "Yeah, it's pretty easy to learn." You scooted closer to him and he handed you his phone. You began playing, while he watched you, telling you little hints every now and then when you would get stuck.

GAME OVER.

"Darn it," you mumbled, quite annoyed that you had lost. On the first level.

Kenma seemed to notice, "Here. On this one you need to do a special attack-" He reached over and gently grabbed your hands, showing you how to activate the attack. However you couldn't exactly focus on his words.

He was so close. You were sure he could feel your rapidly beating heart. His head was right by yours and you were basically sitting in his lap. He turned to look at you and your faces were only inches apart. You both froze. The video game was long forgotten as you both stared at each other.

His golden eyes were so pretty. You could look into them for ages. You've always loved his eyes, they were the first thing you noticed when you joined the club.

...

"Listen up! This is (L/n)(Y/n), she's our new team manager. Don't scare her off!" Coach Nekomata introduced you to the team.

You gulped and bowed deeply. "Please take care of me!" You squeaked.

"WELCOME!" They all yelled, following your suit and bowed as well. You shuffled awkwardly in front of them as they all looked at you.

Are they judging me? You thought.

Coach Nekomata noticed your discomfort and yelled at the boys to continue practicing. You sighed, when all of their eyes were directed away from your figure.

"I'm Kuroo Tetsuro, team captain, nice to meet you," a tall black haired man reached down and offered his hand. You timidly shook it and he gave you a crooked grin, you sent a nervous grin back. "And this here is the mastermind behind Nekoma."

"Really, Kuroo?" A soft spoken voice said. You turned to look at a boy with blonde hair and black roots. He looked annoyed at the tall captain.

Kuroo let out a weird laugh. It sounded almost like a hyena. The boy sighed and turned his gaze to you. Your eyes are met with golden ones. Those eyes almost seemed like they were piercing into you, like he was reading a dictionary all about you. You shifted your eyes away from his.

"I'm Kozume...Kenma."

...

You moved your head slightly to the side.

"I-" He stopped, his eyes flickering down for a split second. Your stomach fluttered when he leaned in closer, his lips brushing against yours. Your eyes flutter closed. You could feel his slightly chapped lips press against your own as he gently kissed you.

You definitely didn't expect this to happen today.

Someone cleared their throat causing the both of you to pull apart.

"When I said find him, I meant for you to bring him back," Kuroo smirked at both of you guy's red faces. "Come on love birds, we have a game tomorrow. Time for bed." Then he disappeared down the dark hallway.

It was silent for a moment, until Kenma broke it with a quiet apology. You turned and smiled at him.

"You don't have to apologize. I, uh, kind of..liked it," I whispered the last part under my breath as I slowly lost confidence. His eyes widened. "Sorry if that sounded weird!" You covered your face with your hands.

Great, way to make it awkward (Y/n). So stupid-

Soft hands pulled your own down and he lent forward and kissed your forehead, then he stood up.

"We should probably go," he states, before starting down the hallway.

I honestly thought he was gonna leave me there.

He stopped at the end and turned back to me, "Are you coming?"
