Responsibillity.

Responsibillity on her work.

Even if her life seems tough to endure, she had make it real.
Not for her life, but for the life of others.
All of us have a duty to survive. And Arisu knew that pretty well.

On a foggy morning in Detroit, the sun's rays hovered over the white vegetation, and the nearby houses stood empty and silent, as they did every early morning. Meanwhile, a woman had just woken up when the sunlight hit her face, preventing her from falling back asleep.

Her name was Arisu.

In the apartment next door, another girl had already gotten up and was listening to music a little too loudly in her room. She was excited because it was her first day at college since her family had recently moved to this city. Her name was Vicky, a enthusiastic yet energetic girl who, although really a smartass, often ends up playing the fool.

Arisu got up from the sofa and made her way to the bathroom to brush her teeth. As she stared at her reflection in the mirror, the woman saw the same face she encountered every day. She was still adapting herself to the routine of living alone, even if its challenging she found herself bothered by the noise emanating from the apartment above, yet decided to ignore it.

Vicky was ready. She prepared and drank her coffee rapidly with a closed smirk on her face, as if her life had improved significantly since past week.

The girl got on the bus and headed for college, but all her enthusiasm soon turns out into wisp when she encountered herself in the reality. This was just a ordinary college like many others, with stuck-up classmates who only cared about selective subjects and teachers who were very spiteful. Vicky spent the first few morning lessons paying attention, as the other studentes only whispers gossips to each other everytime the teacher turns his vision to the whiteboard. By lunchtime she was already feeling outcasted, so she decided to go to a pizzeria near the building to take a break.

After completing a few deliveries, lunchtime arrived. She headed toward the staff room at the pizzeria to enjoy her lunch. Her lunchbox was just basic and rushed, simply because she lacked cooking skills. It contained average veggie stew, as usual.

After finishing her meal, Arisu approached the counter to assist with the work. Retrieving her notebook and pencil, she politely inquired "What can I get for you, ma'am?"

Vicky approached the counter and placed her order: a simple delicious Hawaiian pizza and a soft beverage. Afterward, she settled at her table, but even there weren't many staff members available to serve at that time.

"Noted!" The woman with platinum hair promptly relayed the order to the cook for pizza preparation. She then returned to the counter to assist other customers.

On the other hand, the girl with curly strawberry blond hair settled at her table, patiently awaiting her order. As she waited, she reached for a book and immersed herself in its pages.

After a few minutes, the Hawaiian pizza was ready. The waitress promptly delivered it to the table, along with a refreshing Pepsi soda. Meanwhile, Arisu sat with her hand resting on her chin, feeling drowsy.

The woman glanced at the $10 bill she had received, a smirk gracing her face. She then resumed her work, diligently completing her shift.

As the day drew to a close, the girl missed her bus to home, leaving her with no choice but to walk back to the condominium.
