𝕿HE camp was alive with activity. Men moved between tents carrying supplies, horses were being tended to, and soldiers gathered around fires as they prepared for another day of war.
But Taliana barely noticed any of it. For weeks now, she had felt something changing. Robb was different, distant.
He spent more and more of his time with his commanders, studying maps, discussing Lannister movements, and planning their next attack. When he wasn't doing that, he was with his mother or surrounded by his bannermen.
And when they were alone, there was always some reason for him to leave. Another letter. Another meeting. Another matter concerning the war.
Taliana told herself not to think about it. She had survived worse than a husband who was distracted by a war.
She walked through the camp beside Lady Cerella, her closest friend and confidante. Taliana glanced toward her, "I know it has been difficult with Theon being gone."
Cerella immediately sighed, "My Queen, please don't start again."
Taliana frowned, "It's been months."
"I know."
"And you haven't spoken about him once," Cerella looked at her, "Because there is nothing left to say."
"There is always something left to say."
"Not when a man chooses to leave," Taliana slowed slightly. Cerella's expression softened, "What is done is done."
"But—"
"No," Cerella gave her a pointed look, and Taliana sighed, "You're becoming rather difficult."
"I learned from my queen," Taliana laughed softly, "Perhaps you did."
They continued walking, and then Cerella stopped. Taliana took another step before realizing her friend wasn't beside her anymore.
She turned, "What?"
Cerella didn't answer. Instead, she was staring toward the other side of the camp. Taliana followed her gaze.
