(i also figured out videos so i gift you a banger song)
It was around 10pm and Giyu was just walking down a path, coming from the direction of the river which likely explained why his shoulders up were dripping wet. He was walking past the open gate to the Wind Estate, not noticing Sanemi just sitting on his porch, who noticed Giyu.
Sanemi sat there and noticed that the moonlight plus Giyus pale complexion really highlighted injuries on his arms and the fact he was soaked.
Sanemi groaned and stood up, moving over to the gate and standing to the side of Giyu, stopping him from walking. "The hell are you doing here?"
Giyu turned to look at him with a slight look of surprise, apparently not knowing this was your home he was passing by, but it went away quickly as he spoke with that eerily calm tone he normally had. "Just..walking back to my house from the river over there." He motioned, pointing behind him with his thumb over his shoulder.
Sanemi raised a brow, staring at him for the moment and the injuries he had. It was clear he didn't believe him. "Oh really? What were you doing at the river?" He asked, eyes narrowed with suspicion.
"Watching the fish. Why?" Giyu said with the water from his hair dripping into his eyes, but he never flinched at it and only stared at Sanemi.
"At night?" Sanemi raised a brow. "Really?" Sanemi scoffed.
"I'm not an idiot, you know. You were doing something else, and it was definitely not just watching fish.""Then what was it if I wasn't watching fish, hm?.." Giyu asked calmly, tilting his head to the side slightly causing the water to drip more.
"Fighting." Sanemi was stern and cold. He didn't care if he was right or wrong, he was still gonna be an ass because of his nature.
"You weren't 'just watching the fish.' You were either fighting someone or training. Which is it?""Neither." Giyu chirped in response, likely pleased you had been wrong but not showing any emotion eluding towards it.
Sanemi kept a raised brow, now feeling more agitated. "Oh really? You expect me to believe that wet ass self of yours had been 'just watching the fish'? You're a damn liar."
"I could've been just watching them too intently and fell in, that could be all to it and you still wouldn't believe me."
"Bullshit." Sanemi once again scoffed.
"I'm not one to buy into whatever lies you tell me about watching fish. You either were fighting, training, or doing something stupid like trying to drown yourself in the river."Giyu stared at him with slightly wider eyes for a second before tilting his head back up and scoffing. "I wouldn't drown myself. Though, it would be a fitting death for me. Water Hashira dies from drowning."
"Are you sure? You were walking back home all wet in the middle of the night." Sanemi narrowed his eyes even further, feeling slightly amused yet still agitated by this conversation.
"Were you trying to do something dumb and 'end' it?""Well if I was trying to end it, I would've gone through with it and not be a coward." He said in that same eerie tone, his eyes still straight dull with water dripping in them.
"You should know that it'd be a waste of time to do all the work and then not follow through."
