[warning: smut]𝐔𝐒𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘, 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐀 stepped into the house after a long day of work, she was greeted by the TV blaring and the smell of something delicious on the stove.
Today, however, the house was silent and smelled of nothing but air freshener.
She turned to Jaime, who was just behind her. She had driven him home from work, and so she knew that Milagro had gone to dinner with some friends in the city and would be Ubering home, but everyone else, she had no clue. "Where's everyone?"
His eyebrows furrowed. "Well, my parents went to a friend's anniversary party, Uncle Rudy's at his usual Friday poker night, and . . . I think Nana went to some bingo thing."
"Huh. Okay." Reina hung her bag on the coat rack. "Well, are you hungry?"
"Mhm. Do we still have that soup you made the other day? I've been craving it all day."
"There should be some left." She headed to the kitchen and opened the fridge to see the pot, full enough for two or three more servings.
She pulled the pot out and placed it on the stove before turning the gas on. She washed her hands in the sink as she waited for the soup to warm up.
When she began to scoop some of the hot soup into a bowl, a pair of arms wrapped around her waist and a kiss was planted on her neck.
"Smells good," Jaime muttered, resting his chin on her shoulder. He kissed her neck once more. "The house is so empty, huh?"
She nodded slowly. "It sure is."
"No one's here."
She chuckled. "That is what 'empty' means."
"Wonder what else we could get up to?" he murmured.
"I wonder," she humoured. "You have any ideas?"
"A couple."
"A couple?"
"Well . . . one."
She knew exactly what that idea was. Hell, she had been thinking about that idea for quite some time. But she decided it'd be a little more fun to play with him first. "And what would that be?"
He groaned as he nuzzled his face into her neck. "You know what I'm talking about, Rein."
"I'm not sure. Elaborate." She left the ladle in the pot and turned to face him. "What is it that you want to do?"
The space between them quickly diminished as Jaime placed his hands on the counter on either side of her and leaned a little closer. His hot breath tickled her nose as he whispered, "What I've wanted to do for the last four years."
She quirked an eyebrow. "Eat soup?"
"Oh, stop teasing me, princesa."
She couldn't manage to get another word out before Jaime's lips were pressed against hers. Her arms quickly wrapped around his neck, pulling him as close as possible to her.
His hands became comfortable on her hips, though his thumbs began to tease the waistline of her jeans. His fingers against her skin was enough to send shivers down her spine, and she kissed him harder.
Jaime drew away, though his lips stayed only an inch away from hers. "You wanna go to my room?"
She hummed and pecked his lips.
A small giggle escaped her lips as he pulled her legs up to wrap around his waist.
Despite the empty house, he still kicked the door shut behind them. He dropped her on his bed before climbing over her and reconnecting their lips.
