I could see him tense at the question, but I already brought it up so I can't back down now. "What about her?" He asked.

I took a breath and looked him in the eye. "She wants to meet me. So Im gonna set up a date and time. And I was hoping you could....come as well? You won't be the only one there. It will be Tate and I'm planning on asking everyone else too. I just really need the support and-"

Before I could finish, he cut me off. "Alright. I'll go."

The words stunned me to silence.

"Really?" I asked.

He nodded. "Contrary to popular belief I don't have any bad feelings for you. I've actually come to love you like a sister. It's probably why I pick on you so much. I've watched you fight your own body to be happy. Don't get me wrong you're not my type but I see why my brother loves you." He said, his eyes never leaving mine.

I could cry. I'm not gonna, cause either know for sure he wouldn't know what to do and it will freak him the fuck out. But I could.

"I love you too, Mike. And I don't know if I ever said it, but thank you for being there for my surgery and recovery." I said.

"No problem. Just so you know, I know what I said but I wasn't there just to support Tate, Tim, or Beck. I was also there cause I genuinely care. I know I fuck with you a lot and I'm going to continue to do so, but I do care." He said.

Golly....what is going on?

"Why you getting all mushy on me know?" I meant it as a joke but he answered with all the seriousness of government official passing a bill.

"Because proved to me that your in it for the long hall and the fact that he brought you shows me so is he. You've seen all our ugly and disfunction and you haven't run, and he seen all yours and he hasn't run. I know we're young and you two may or may not break up. But what you got is real. Since you and him are sincere. I might as well be too."

"Oh wow." Was all I could say. I am speechless

"Yeah. Yeah. But this is all you get. I'm letting you know where I stand with the two of you and then I'm going back to my regularly scheduled bullshit, clear?" He said with a smirk.

And I couldn't help the laugh that left my lips. "Clear."

Tate ended up coming out of the locker room a few minutes later. Me and Mike were arguing on who was the best avenger when he walked up and pulled me in his arms and gave me a kiss on the head.

"Loki isn't consider an avenger, Mike." I said as I leaned into Tate.

"How!? He fought and died with them." Mike said.

I rolled my eyes and before i could rebuff, Tate spoke. "Technically, he didn't. He fought and died with Thor."

"Ok, but for you to say Hulk is the best is just wrong." Mike said.

"Why?" I asked

"Have you seen the movies? At this point I could beat his ass. But you say he's the best." Mike said.

"He has a point. They did snuff hulk. But both of you are wrong. Loki isn't even an avenger and hulk is ass." Tate said.

We slowly began making our way outside to the cars. "And who exactly do you think is the best avenger?" I asked Tate.

"Wait let me guess. Captain Marvel?" Mike said with exaggerated annoyances and honestly I didn't blame him. Captain marvel was not my favorite.

"Ugh no. I hated that movie. And since we are doing this based of the movies, I'm gonna say Iron Man. Every one underestimated, and he was always the one who sacrificed." Said Tate.

Before we could retort a figure from across the parking lot caught my attention. He looked familiar. I could feel the Tate tense and Mike went quiet as his eyes watched the figure come closer.

"Don't be rude, Mike." Said Tate. Mikes jaw tightened before a smile crept on his lips.

"Say hi to your competitor Tate. And say hi to your new bestie, Loni." Said Mikes and almost on cue the man became clear. It was Nando.

I could see when Nando noticed us his eyes scanned the three of us and then landed back on me with a hesitant smile. He waved and Tates arms squeezed around me. I waved back with a smile.

"Hey Nando." I said once he was closer. He would walked right pass us if I hadn't said anything and to be honest o don't know why I opened my mouth.

"Hey Loni. What you doing here?" He asked his eyes shifting between me, Tate, and Mike. His gaze oh softened when they landed on me but whenever they strayed to Mike or Tate he would almost glare at them. It was like he was expecting one of them to pounce.

"I was just here to watch Tate practice." I said.

Nandos eyes narrowed at Tate and Mike. "Why would you bring her here? It's dangerous."

I could feel Tate tense even more.

"She's a big girl. She can handle herself and she was in no harm. We bought out the gym for a few hours so no one could come in except for the approved." Mike said.

Nando frowned.

"It open now. You can go in." Said Tate in a flat tone.

Nando just nodded. He gave Tate and Mike one last look and gave me one last smile. "I'll see you in class tomorrow." He said and I nodded. He made his way into the building and as we watched him go inside, o could feel the tension leave Tate and Mike.

"You know. I actually like the kid. For a golden retriever type, he's actually not annoying." Mike said as his eyes met Tates.

"Golden retriever?" I asked.

"Yeah it what he reminds me of." Said Mike.

I looked up at Tate and watched his eyes squint in concentration. "I see it." Tate said.

I shook my head. "I don't."

Nando. A golden retriever.

Hm....

I don't see it....
