Ch.12 Living Puppet.

Pelle was down by the water examining the new houses when a notification screen appeared in front of him. 'Welcome to Monster City. You are now a citizen. Please take this I.D. card.'

People all over stopped what they were doing to read what it said. A card appeared in front of each being. When they reached out to touch it, it became a solid object the size of an I.D. card.

On each card was a name.

"So he named the town finally." Came a voice from the side. It was Callie, she smiled as she held onto a card similar to the one in Pelle's hand.

"Callie," Pelle walked up to her and pulled her into a hug. "Have you picked one of these houses to live in?"

She nodded and pointed to a pastel pink house. "I have, the one right there. It comes with all the basics and some things I've never seen before. The human girl Ash has been teaching us what some of them are."

"That's good. I see we made the right choice to join them." Pelle smiled as he glanced at the other Aquians who were also in the area.

Just then a screen appeared in front of Pelle. 'You have received minor control over Monster City.' Pelle stopped what he was doing and had to reread what he just saw a few times. "I'm sorry but something just came up, I'll have to talk with you later Callie."

"Of course." She responded as Pelle darted off up shore towards the Lord's Manor.

Inside the Lord's Manor at a table, Leumas sat across the Tamer God. "So there, every member of your City has been registered. Also now all of your Haram have some control over Monster City." She said smugly.

Not several moments later James, Dean, and Pelle entered in the front door. The three shared a knowing look. "Identity cards and city control?" Dean asked.

James spoke up. "I get the Identity cards. But why did we get control?"

"I would also like to know." Pelle said as he joined the others at the table.

"Just a moment." Leumas said raising a hand up at the three to silence them.

Three sets of eyes bore into him at that moment. Leumas immediately stopped what he was about to say. "Sorry guys." He stood. "I do plan to travel eventually. I do want to see this world and if I'm the only one in control then that would keep me stranded here."

The three shared another look as they all stopped and stared at the unfamiliar woman sitting there watching them curiously. "Excuse us for our outburst, but who might you be?" Dean asked politely.

She smiled. "I am the Tamer God, and as of today, Leumas' Patron God."

The three stopped after the remembered their last encounter with one of the Gods. Each of them bowed lightly and said. "Hello."

Shaking her head with the smile still upon her face. "It's quite alright, be at ease you three. My first true Believer here." She gestured to Leumas. "Asked me some questions and I kindly gave him some answers. As for you three I was hoping you would come."

A screen appeared in front of the three men at that time. 'Subclass Tamer. Accept. Decline.' each of them reached out and accepted without question.

"Very good." She clapped her hands together. "Now that each of you accepted me." She then walked up to Leumas and touched the Haram Ring.

A ringing sound appeared in Leumas ear as a notification appeared in front of him. 'Harem Ring upgraded to Tamer Harem Ring.' 'Each member of your Haram will be offered the Tamer Subclass. One random monster egg will be given to each member. Chances to acquire Monster Egg increased from two percent to five percent.'

An egg appeared in front of each of the four of them. The colors of the shells were constantly shifting.

"You upgraded the Haram Ring." Leumas stated, surprised about what has happened.

"I did. A gift to my first Believer." She stated. "Now each of you place a drop of blood on the egg and bind it to yourselves. Once your next husbands wear your ring they too will have that screen appear."

Each of them then gave thanks to the Tamer God. Who smiled, turned to Leumas and said. "I'll be going to the Dungeon Monolith for now. There's some Materials I need in there. This Monster City of yours is going to be quite prosperous." She stopped at the door before leaving. "Also one more thing. I don't know if you noticed but most monsters haven't been attacking.  For the first month while the Candidates are getting settled, a law was placed on them not to attack unless provoked." And with that she vanished out the door.

Leumas didn't hesitate and pulled out a simple Bronze Knife, and pricked the tip of his index finger. He then passed the knife to each of the others who followed suit, each placing the blood onto the eggs.

The first egg to stop shifting was Dean's. The egg shattered and a green figure appeared. 'Constricting Rose Vine.'

A green bulb of vines appeared with a red rose on top. The vines gently wrapped around Dean and crawled up him, it then rested on his shoulder and nuzzled its petals up against his cheek.

In front of James, a burst of heat warmed the room. A red ball gently fell to the ground 'Incinerating Slime.'

A bright red slime with a small flame as the nucleus appeared and bounced slightly as if it was looking around.

Pelle was dumbfounded as a chill caused him to shiver. In front of him stood a crane. 'Arctic Crane.'

The crane stood at his height a many shades of light blue plumage covered it with a couple black feathers on it s head.

Leumas watched with baited breathe. 'Living Puppet.' A two foot doll appeared with a black mask on its face with two eyeholes. It wore a black and grey argyle one piece with white frills at the neck line. A couple of loose strings dangling from its hands. It then bowed to Leumas.

"Ummm what." Dean cocked his head to the side as he saw the name.

"Oh that's creepy." Said Pelle as the puppet looked his way with its lifeless eyes boring into him. "Nevermind sorry." He said looking away and back at the Crane.

Meanwhile James was knelt down and patting the squishy slime. "So warm. I bet you would love my Smithy when I place it." It gurgled slightly and it looked as if it pushed up into his palm.

Kneeling down to eye level Leumas reached a hand out. "It's nice to meet you." The Puppet looked at the hand, then down to its own and back again. It copied the motion and placed its tiny hand inside of its new masters. "I think I'll call you Snippy."

The puppet nodded its head. The sound of bones clicking together caused the other three to shiver slightly.

The other three summons also seemed disturbed by the puppet. And it left them all curious as to why.
