The Town

The morning has gone rather well.

Dream has woken up after Killer and they both shared an affectionate time in bed before getting up and having a nice breakfast. To the surprise of the guardian, the assassin wanted to make breakfast for the both of them so of course, he let him show off his skills. . But that was without thinking that Killer would end up making something barely edible. It did look pretty delicious at first but that was before the guardian found out that the pancakes were all burnt underneath the mountain of fruits Killer hid them under. After this, Dream offered to help him make breakfast, so they did.

At times, both were feeling a little awkward. It was probably because throughout their entire relationship, they have never really done anything together or lived together underneath the same roof for so long. They have always been separated, it was a long distance kind of relationship and now that they have been together for more than 24 hours, it sure was different. Dream enjoyed this change even if he struggled to get used to it, Killer was the one who felt odd about this.

He was used to his manners at Nightmare's castle and it wasn't like he was trying to change now that he was with Dream. He has volunteered to make breakfast only because he wanted to boost his relationship with the guardian. . Yes, it was for selfish reasons. But are you surprised?

Dream didn't realize that Killer was doing this for his own gain, he was having fun cooking with him. He couldn't see what was beneath Killer's sweet smile and even if he tried, he would've been convinced by the assassin's positive energy that he was indeed having a good time.

He has been thinking a long time before about how his aura affected people. . And it wasn't the only time. It still happened often, he wondered and wondered if people really liked him. . Appreciated him beyond what his positive aura offered. It wasn't any different for Killer, he was afraid of being used by him. However with time, he has learned to trust him. It was quite something considering that he was his enemy but Dream has never felt so loved with anyone else in the past.

After eating they both stayed inside to watch something together and it went just as well. . They were just cuddling and commenting on the scenes they were watching. Killer was the one who reacted a lot to whatever happened in the movie while Dream was quieter one. It was quite the dynamic to see.

Now, it was around 1pm and Dream was insisting for them to go out to town together. He really wanted his boyfriend to get some fresh air and do activities outside but still mindful that Killer just got out of the hospital, he would suggest relaxing things : Like a simple walk in the park, visiting shops and places around the Omega Timeline. . And especially that cat café Dream has promised to visit with him back when the assassin was still unconscious. However, he wanted to keep that part a surprise and offer him a really nice time surrounded by fluffy little beings that would do nothing but to welcome him nicely. It would just like the guardian has told him before they left the cozy house.

Today is your day, we will be doing anything you like. Unless it's too energetic.

The tone used for the last sentence was a little firm but he made it clear for Killer to understand that he wanted this to be a calm day, without any fights or bloodshed. It was something that he knew the other wasn't too used to but it wouldn't hurt to try, it was good to try new things in his opinion. . It could open new horizons to Killer and perhaps make him more familiar with the Omega timeline. He has tried to convince Killer to not bring any weapons but when he did, Killer reacted like a toddler, almost throwing a tantrum as he jumped on the spot with his arms loose. This tantrum would have gone out of control if he kept disagreeing, so after a while of negotiation, he let him keep one knife. The assassin wasn't that satisfied with only one knife but at least he was worked his way to keep one.
