Without thinking much about all of what happened just now, he knocked on the door as he always did before entering the bedroom.

He did it in case a nurse or a doctor happened to be inside. It did a few times before, Dream was afraid of the idea of ever bothering someone even if his aura would rarely allow anyone to feel anything like it in his presence. He listened for any sounds, approaching his face a little closer to the door and it surprised him when he heard creaks from what sounded like the bed. As he realized, he wanted nothing else than to burst into the room and cry in Killer's arms. . There were so many things he wanted to do once his boyfriend woke up that he didn't know if he would be able to handle it. But he decided to contain himself even if he was filled so many emotions. He had to be calm and collected.

His hand was a little shaky as it rested on the door handle then pressed down onto it to reveal the room.

The guardian found Killer sitting on the bed, the sun rays attempted to shine onto him but curtains blocked their paths. He was holding a knife in his hand and was apparently having fun cutting into the sheets, forming holes into it. The assassin had his eye sockets completely opened and the widest possible grin, he looked in Dream's exact direction. . The guardian swore that the other was looking right into his highlights though he couldn't exactly tell because of the infinite emptiness of his lover's eye sockets. Killer didn't say a thing when he saw the smaller one enter inside, the same one who had growing tears in his eye sockets. They nearly blinded him at the sight of his lover being awake after what felt like forever.

Killer!

Dream called his name in disbelief then immediately gave up on the idea of trying to seem tough. Just as he thought would happen, he crumbled in Killer's arms and cried bitterly against him. . Wetting the other's shirt as he tightly yet gently held onto him. The red glow of the target shaped soul hitting his face didn't seem to bother him, he only cried more. The tears wouldn't stop dripping down his face and his words were caught in his throat, so much so that he found himself in slight pain because of it. . But if it was for Killer, pain didn't matter.

The assassin wasn't quite expecting that, not catching Dream in his embrace at first before slowly wrapping his arms around him and caressing his back. He stared down at the guardian who was staining his new clothing, listening to the nonsense he was trying to share.

Kil- Killer. . Kil- erm. . I. . I can't. . I've missed you so much! All this. . All this time, I have. . I have been visiting you. Every time I could, I. . I came here for you. . Nngh, seeing you awake. . It's so much. . Oh, I'm so happy to be with you again Killer!

The smaller one sniffled, attempting to calm his cries but they only worsened the more he thought about Killer being alive and well. He didn't plan on letting him go, what did he have to hide now? Nightmare knew about their relationship. . He discovered it in the worst possible way. They had to avoid him along with Killer's old colleagues now, Dream had a feeling that his brother wouldn't just give up, not after failing to eliminate a traitor like Killer. . However, he could not bother himself to worry about it at the moment. He was too busy holding onto his lover.

He beamed with so much happiness that Killer felt the wave of positivity hit right in is soul. It brought him to relax further more and he rested his spine against the many pillows on the bed. Of course, this resulted with getting Dream to be more comfortable on top of him as well, he was free to move as he wished and the guardian appreciated this gesture.

For the first time ever since Dream arrived, the tar leaking monster spoke.

Right, right. . I'm okay little light, stop crying now. You don't wanna end up looking like me, uh?
