The ZF Motif is sailing on the South China Sea with four missile destroyers, a submarine, and a replenishment oiler to conduct a freedom of navigation due to territorial disputes between China and several countries including the Philippines. Capt. Matthew Peterson is on the bridge to monitor the movements of the ZF Motif and its carrier strike group.

Capt. Peterson: The president of Zaphnath Force will join with us tomorrow so be ready for his supervision. You know he wants a warrior culture within us, so better be prepared than sorry.

Cmdr. Jackson: Aye captain. We should prepare for what's the best.

Capt. Peterson approaches Lt. Sean Owens, one of the top Gripen ace pilots of Zaphnath Force.

Capt. Peterson: Lt. Owens, you should patrol the area with your wingman for us to know where the Chinese ships are.

Lt. Owens: Yes, sir!

Lt. Owens goes out of the bridge and heads to his JAS-39N, along with his wingman and their WSOs. After 15 minutes, they both head to the catapults 1 and 2 of the carrier and get launch to conduct an air patrol. The air patrol lasts for 20 minutes and they noticed some Chinese warships that are in line. This could be the Liaoning's fleet as they try to analyze the situations in the region.

Lt. Owens: I found the Liaoning on South China Sea, should we engage?

Capt. Peterson: Negative unless they tried to attack you.

Lt. Owens: Alright

Lt. Owens and his wingman continue to fly as they search for Chinese warships in the region.

On the other side of the story:

The ZF Regera, an Agera-class ballistic missile submarine, is sailing alone on the South China Sea to conduct freedom of navigation. Cmdr. Lorenzo Faulke commands the nuclear submarine as it heads to Zapnath Force's base in Okinawa.

Cmdr. Faulke: We should navigate our direction to Okinawa.

Regera crew: Yes commander

Cmdr. Faulke: Turn to the north east bearing 208 to Okinawa.

Regera crew: Yes commander!, turning to the east!

The ZF Regera is heading to the north east of  Okinawa.

Meanwhile on an airfield:

The ZAF is going for an exercise with Lanz Potonia flying his IAI Kfir fighter jet along with other Michael Garcia on his JAS-39Fs and Nathaniel Mendoza on his Nesher Ns along with their respective squadrons.

Lanz: This is a great day for us to fly

Michael: It is great today.

Nathaniel: We should have an exercise together to make our capabilities even better.

Michael: We need to hone our fighting skills

The three get inside their jets and lead their respective squadrons for training with Lanz and his squadron head towards the ZF Motif to greet the carrier strike group and the sailors.

Back to the Motif CSG:

The two JAS-39Ns, which are conducting an air patrol, greet the Kfir squadron that are flying alongside with them. The Kfir squadron is led by Lanz before the two JAS-39Ns return to the aircraft carrier.

Capt. Peterson: Now we have informations about where the Chinese fleets are.

Cmdr. Jackson: Indeed, we have since we made a clear look at their location.

The Victory FSG:

The battleship ZF Victory has left the port in Palawan with three destroyers and a replenishment oiler to conduct freedom of navigation around the area. The ZF Victory has a small fleet called Fire Support Group (FSG) with less escorts than a Carrier Strike Group.

Captain: We shall check our radars if you find some pesky Chinese Coast Guard ships.

Petty Officer: We have to push those Chinese ships out of our own country and make them stop harassing our fishermen with water cannons.

Captain: We shall show them no mercy if they try to attack any of them, not even our coast guard.

After two weeks of conducting freedom of navigation around South China Sea, the Motif strike group returns to Manila to be visited by the president, who occasionally joins with them on their maritime patrols. The ZF Regera has arrived at the base in Okinawa to visit Adm. Jacob Yelland who is currently stationed at the Okinawa base. Meanwhile the Victory FSG has returned to Palawan after conducting freedom of navigation around the region.

It's time for us to meet Zaphnath Force's president, who is the main protagonist.
