As we searched for equipment, I realized how much damage had been cause while I was locked up. It was only for a few weeks, and yet it was nothing like I remembered it to be. Where my favorite stores once stood, full of happy customers, ruins now lay, desolate. It made me sad; Even though I was a villain now, I couldn't help but reminisce on past memories, which were joyful.
After a while, we found the wreck of what was once a hero equipment store. "I'll search it for anything useful," I said. "You guys can continue searching for useful supplies." Lady Nagant and Chisaki nodded, and turned away. "Oh, by the way, I'm pretty sure there used to be a hospital to the left of this building," I informed them. "Perhaps you could look there for medical supplies?" After a short period of silence, Nagant replied. "Alright. I'll meet you here later," she said, walking away and towards the hospital.
After she left, I continued to search for supplies. Surveying the ruins, I couldn't help but feel nostalgic; This was the sort of place I'd visit for equipment when I was still a hero. But those days are long gone. It didn't take long to gather all there was in the destroyed building; After all, most of what could've been useful was buried under tons of cement, and I wasn't about to try to heave the blocks of cement just for the off chance something useful was buried under it. I gathered every thing I found (Mostly first aid kits and the like) and then walked over to the entrance of the building and peaked my head out, checking where the sun was in the sky.
Looking up, I noticed that the sun was starting to go down, yet there was no sign of Lady Nagant. This worried me, but I decided to stay out instead of running off trying to find her. She told me she'd meet me here, and so I'd stay here. As the hours passed, I only got more anxious. Where had she gone?
Finally, when the sun was gone and the moon was at its peak, I finally saw two familiar faces; Lady Nagant and Chisaki. I let out a sigh of relief. "Did something happen? You're back a lot later than expected..." I observed her. She had a tired look on her face, and so did Chisaki. "Yeah, we encountered some heroes. It's fine though, we managed to stay hidden and they didn't find us before they left." I was relieved, though I didn't show it. After a few seconds of relief, a thought suddenly popped into my head: What would happen if we were caught out in the open? I mean, obviously they'd try to arrest us, but where would they bring us? After Tartarus was destroyed (Along with society), I doubted they had anywhere to bring us. Everything looked to be destroyed.
"All for One had a target for me," Nagant started. "Some kid named Izuku Midoriya?" I didn't recognize that name, but it seemed that Chisaki did, because there was a visible reaction on his face when she uttered his name. "Izuku..?" He questioned. "I know him. He's the kid that got me into jail," he finished. "So you would be able to recognize him when you saw him, yes?" Silence reigned for a few seconds, but then Chisaki replied. "Yes, I would recognize him. He had green hair, and acts like an All Might wannabe." I chuckled, and so did Nagant. "Alright, then you're coming with me. You're going to help me find and eliminate this kid."
Lady Nagant picked up some supplies, most notably a first aid kit, and signalled Chisaki to get up. Then, they both left, going to hunt down this Izuku Midoriya. It did not take long for me to get bored, and so, I decided to explore the buildings nearby. After all, it might be useful to know the layout around here should a fight break out.
Wandering around, I learnt the layout. I swear I saw the flicker of a red feather, but when I went to investigate, there was nothing there. Ah well, my mind must be playing tricks on me. Wandering around, I spotted the wreck of an abandoned electronics store. Heading in, I found two boxes of which contained the latest model of phone. I grab them, and head back to the building where I was supposed to meet Nagant.
"Where were you? I've been waiting for a while..." Nagant's voice echoes through the building. "I was wandering around to figure out the layout of this place. Might be useful to know if any heroes figure out we're here." She stood still for a few seconds, the nodded. "Oh, and I found these." I handed her one of the boxes with the phones in them. "I thought it might be useful." She opened the box, and grabbed the phone. "Yes... But where are we going to charge them?" I pondered the thought. I forgot about that... "We could search for somewhere where there's still power? I mean, there ought to be somewhere with power, right?" She made eye contact in a way to confirm that we were going with that plan.
