I woke up the next day, my back aching from sleeping on the couch. Walking sloppily towards the kitchen, I slipped and landed face first into the wall. Groaning, I got up and grabbed something to eat.

"Great... the only thing left in the house is a stale chunk of sourdough bread." I sighed, and grabbed it. Lazily wandering over to a cupboard, I grabbed a plate and placed the misshapen chunk of bread on it.

Sitting down in the living room, I ate lazily, half paying attention to whatever I was shoving in my mouth. Then, I saw a flicker of red outside the window. This shocked me, and I quickly got ready to fight. However, I didn't see another flicker for a few seconds, so I calmed down. Though, I rushed to the bathroom and slipped on my villain costume. It was important to take every threat seriously.

The moment I sat back down, I was met with another flash of red. Then, I felt someone creep up on me. I turned around, and there stood Hawks. I readied my knife to attack, but he put his hands up in a show of peace. I decided to not stab him, for now. "Hey, I'm not going to attack you. Actually, I wanted to inform you about something." I looked at him, curious but still on guard. I shook my head as if to urge him to continue. "Lady Nagant was captured. Well... Captured is the wrong word. She decided to join us." I didn't believe him, once again readying my knife once more. "And why should I believe you?" I questioned, on guard. Why would he come and tell me this, without a reason? This could be a trap for all I knew. "Because she's in critical condition. While fighting Midoriya, she betrayed All for One. Little did she know, he put a self destruction exploding quirk in her while giving her Air Walk."

I was shocked. Lady Nagant was in critical condition? I couldn't risk not going. Ever since I was thrown in jail, she had been a close friend and ally. So, I decided to bite the bullet and believe him. "So... Can I see her?" He nodded, and sent all his feathers back to his wings. With a swift movement of his arm, he ushered me to follow him.

The entire walk there, I was on guard. He was a fellow HPSC trained hero. It wouldn't be a stretch to assume he was tricking me to attempt to kill me. He seemed to notice this and chuckled a few times. God, it made me want to punch him in the face. But, somehow, I had the self control to refrain from doing so.

Half an hour later, we arrived in front of UA, the same spot where I had wiped the floor with him. "Hey, isn't this where I kicked your ass?" I asked, nonchalantly. This obviously pissed him off; You could tell by the way his eyebrow twitched. It was kinda funny, if I had to be honest. "She's in the hospital. Follow me." And so, I did.

Making our way inside, Hawks dragged me towards the opposite of the building, slamming a door open. "Justice for the door?" This stupid remark only earned me a glare as I walked into the room. I noticed a bed in the corner of the room, with a woman laying down in it. I walked towards it; then I noticed it was Lady Nagant. She had scars across her face, and well everywhere on her body. Almost as if she had exploded...? I mean, it is possible. Oh... yeah, Hawks had mentioned something about a self destruct quirk, hadn't he?

Nagant was unconscious; which I assume is quite normal when your body has self destructed from the inside. She looked so pretty, even when in critical condition. "So," I started hesitantly, "has she woken up yet?" Silence followed for a few seconds, but then Hawks finally answered my question. "No. Just thought you might like to see her, in case she dies." In case she dies... I hadn't thought of that possibility. Actually, I'd never thought about survival without her before. What if she really died...? I hadn't known her for that long, yet I already found my heart aching at the thought of her death. Dammit, this is why I was so easy for the HPSC to manipulate in the first place. I calmed myself, before turning to look in Hawks' direction. "I assume you're going to use this to manipulate me in some way? After all, you're a HPSC; it's what you excel at." I saw his eye twitch at my remark, and something swirling in them. Sadness...? No, it can't be. I'm just seeing things.

"Yeah, actually... In the fight where Nagant got horribly injured, she was asked something." Asked something? Oh, how useful; Hawks, you're so good at communication! Ugh, so talented! Many sarcastic thoughts filled my mind, but I quickly shut them out and continued listening to him. "The fight was between her and Midoriya and I," he continued quickly, and matter-of-factly. "At the end, after the self destruction quirk activated, Midoriya asked her a question; would she fight for us?" Fight for the heroes? Nagant must've obviously rejected. I mean, she knows what they've done... Surely she would have said no? "She accepted. And seeing how you two seem to be attached to the hip, I assume you'll follow her decision?"

I scoff; of course she accepted. Look, I trust Nagant, but this couldn't have gone better for the heroes. Had she rejected, they would've lost a powerful ally.

After a quick think, I decided to just follow Nagant's decision. The heroes had already found me; so if I decided not to, I would've faced fierce resistance. And probably wouldn't have made it out alive... Either way, I decided to follow Nagant.

"I'll follow along," I sighed, sticking my tongue out at Hawks. He simply rolled his eyes at me, and started walking away. "This way."
