CHAPTER 14

Chaeyoung  drove Jisoo  back home. The ride back home was quiet. Jisoo was looking out the window, she didn't want to look at Chaeyoung  right now because only being close to her was intoxicating her. She didn't even want to imagine what would have happened back there if she hadn't stopped her.

They arrived at the mansion and Jisoo
got out of the car, Chaeyoung  also got out of the car to see her off.

"Um, so-" she  began but was cut off by Jisoo.

"Chaeyoung, please don't say anything," she said. Chaeyoung just nodded at her request.

"Il be leaving in a week," she
continued taking Chaeyoung by surprise.

"Jisoo, if it's because of what
happened earlier, I'm-"

"It's not that, Chaeyoung. I already made that decision. I'm only letting you know so I don't leave without your knowledge."

Jisoo noticed that Chaeyoung's eyes were already saddened, she felt deeply hurt. She sighed deeply and said,

"So, I don't think we would be seeing
after toight because I'd be really
busy tidying up some things at the
company."

Chaeyoung was already clenching her teeth trying to hold back her tears.

"Goodnight," was the only thing she said making Jisoo  feel hurt because she sincerely wanted her to say something more like stopping her from leaving.

Her eyes betrayed her as a tear that
she was trying to hold back rolled
down her cheek. She walked closer to
Chaeyoung, their noses are only inches apart.

She stared into her eyes hoping she'd
beg her to stay but Chaeyoung  said nothing.

Jisoo planted a soft kiss at the corner
of her lips, she let the kiss linger for a
while before whispering 'goodnight'
and walking into the mansion.

Chaeyoung remained at the spot where she stood. She wanted her back in her life. She needed her so badly but at the same time, she didn't want to ruin her present relationship because he knew if it hadn't been because of her they'd still be together.

"Do you really have to go?" Jisoo's
mom asked her with a sad face.

"Mom, I've been with you for two
months now. My company needs
me, and so does Haein." Jisoo  replied
while putting on her underwear. The maids were already taking her luggage downstairs.

"I'm lonely here," her mom said. Jisoo
walked up to her mom and hugged her.

"Mom, I'll come visit. I promise," she
said into the hug.

"That's a promise you just made, so you better keep it." Her mom replied with a chuckle.

Jisoo just rolled her eyes and went
back to putting on the rest of her outfit.

She wore black skinny pants and a
nude pink blouse with matching heels
and a purse. She wrapped her hair in a bun and put on a light makeup.

When she was done dressing, Jisoo
and her mom walked out of her room.
When coming down the stairs, the  driver informed Jisoo  that the car was ready.

"There will be no need for that,"

Jisoo  was startled by that voice. She
couldn't believe she was still going to
see Chaeyoung before she leaves. She turned towards the direction of the voice and saw her staring directly at her.

"Park Chaeyoung!" She exclaimed.

"I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea
to drop you off at the airport," she
continued.

Jisoo  kept staring at her, her feelings
were mixed up. Seeing Chaeyoung  right in front of her offering to give her a ride, made her wonder if leaving was the right choice. Her mom broke the sudden silence.

"Honey, what are you still waiting for? Go on, so you don't miss your flight," that brought Jisoo out of her thoughts.

She gave her mom a goodbye hug and
left with Chaeyoung.

They got to the airport and Jisoo
thanked her.

"Ill  give you a call from time to time to know how you're fairing, okay?" Chaeyoung  said.

"Okay," Jisoo  replied.

Just moments later, they heard the
announcement that the flight to New
Orleans was ready for departure.

Jisoo  felt sad, so she turned and
hugged Chaeyoung.  The hug was longer than she planned because she didn't want to let go. After finally releasing herself from the hug, she said a final goodbye before boarding the plane.
