CHAPTER 18

Haein  didn't return home throughout
the weekend. Jisoo  couldn't believe
that he would spend the weekend
outside which he had never done just
because of their last argument.

It was already Tuesday, and Jisoo
was done with work for the day, so she decided to check on Haein . She wanted him to come back home so they would make up. She walked into his office and noticed that he was on his laptop.

"Hi," she said bringing his attention to
her.

"Hey" he replied before turning his
attention back to his laptop.

Jisoo walked up to him, stood behind
his chair, and placed both arms on his
shoulders.

"Let's go home," she said.

"You go, I'll be home late," he replied.

His reply made Jisoo  remove her
arms from his shoulders and swivel his chair to face her.

"It's already late. Can we please go
home," she pleaded.

"Im not done with what I'm currently
doing, so you can go home and don't
wait up for me." He replied drily.

"Why do you keep doing this? Every time I try to get close to you, you keep pushing me away,"

"Im not pushing you away. I only said
you should go home and rest," he said
looking at her with a scowl.

Jisoo sighed in defeat, not wanting to
have another argument with him.

"Fine. I'll see you tomorrow, then," she said before placing a kiss on his head and leaving his office.

Krystal walked seductively into Haein's  office.

"Hey babe," she said before kissing him passionately. He smiled at her.

"Are you done for the day?" He asked.

"Yes, I am. So, shall we go now?"

"Give me a minute," he replied before
closing his laptop and tidying his desk
then they both left his office.

They got to the company's garage. Haein  unlocked his car and they got inside.

Jisoo was watching from a distance.
She had asked her chauffeur to go
home telling him she needed to be
somewhere else which was a lie. She
wanted to wait for Haein  to know if he was working late like he had claimed but her suspicion was right, it was a lie.

They drove out of the garage and
Jisoo followed behind at a close distance until Haein  stopped right in
front of a bungalow. Jisoo parked two
blocks away watching them.

Haein and Krystal  were making out when Jisoo  tried calling. He parted from the kiss and looked at his phone, he saw that it was Jisoo  calling. He ignored the call and continued his make-out session with Krystal. Jisoo  was hurt.

"Has it come to this?" She thought to
herself already in tears. She had seen
enough already so she drove back
home.

Jisoo went home shattered in pieces. Haein  had been lying to her face all this time, and she couldn't believe he would betray her in such a way. She dialed her mom's number and after two rings she picked up the call.

"Hello dear,"

"Mom," Jisoo called breaking down in
tears as she was broken.

"Jisoo, are you alright?" Her mom
asked worried.

"Mom, you were right about Haein."

"Calm down honey, and tell me what's
going on."

"Haein's a liar Mom. He's seeing
Someone else."

"Oh honey, " her mom sighed with pity.

"I wouldn't say I told you so but I did
tell you he wasn't good enough for you."

Jisoo  was in so much pain that she
couldn't even say anything. She just
kept on crying and hung up. She was
on the floor when Karen saw her and
got worried.

"Ma'am, are you okay?" she asked,

Jisoo  turned toward her.

" Karen, please get me a bottle of
wine,"

"But, ma'am-"

"Just do it!" She yelled at her and
continued crying.

Karen brought the bottle of wine and
left. Jisoo  emptied the bottom hoping
it would help her feel better but to her
dismay, she felt more terrible. She was drunk and felt wobbly but managed to find her way to the room. She threw a fit and began throwing the photos and lamps in the room.

She threw Haein's  clothes out of the closet when suddenly she came across an album. Inside the album were photos of Haein and Krystal.

Jisoo was surprised because they
looked younger in the photos, and
then she realized that Krystal was Haein's ex-girlfriend. She wondered why he didn't tell her a thing about this Krystal.

Jisoo looked at the photos for a while
and concluded that she understood
how Haein  felt at the moment, but she didn't want to lose him to someone else, she knew he fell for Krystal  because she wasn't by his side when she showed up, so he must've been vulnerable.

She couldn't blame him for that but she needed to hear him out. She would like to hear it from his lips and then they could forget about the past and move on. She was ready to forgive him.
