Remember, no swearing in the comments!
Most of these characters are Rick Riordan's, but I invented Samantha.
(previously)
Suddenly, the front door banged open and a blonde kid about my age ran in. He was wearing an orange T-shirt and jeans, not unlike the one that Annabeth was wearing.
"Dad, I know you said to hold them off for as long as we could, but-" He gasped, reaching Percy.
Dad sighed at the mud that was now staining his used-to-be-clean carpet, and Mom shot Percy a look that clearly said " 'dad'? *eyebrow raise*".
The blonde boy ignored her.
"They're coming." he whispered.
(Sammy's POV)
Annabeth leapt to her feet. "How long do we have?"
I shifted on the stairs, eager to hear what she was so afraid of.
Why did this kid seems so scared?
What was coming?
Why were they so scared?
Faster than I could blink, the boy pulled out a dagger from his pocket and sent it at me.
On instinct, I ducked, the lethal dagger narrowly missing my throat and burying itself in a picture of Mom on her wedding day.
At the table, Mom gasped in fear, and Percy jumped in surprise, but I was frozen in shock.
"What the clovers!!!!" I yelled at him, shaking off my surprise. "Did you just throw a knife at me?!!!"
"Who are you?" the boy demanded, brushing my accusation to the side like it was nothing.
Mom shot Percy another look that said "'Parents?' *eyebrow raise*"
I frowned, disappointed. I know I shouldn't've expected him to recognize me, no one ever does, but I had hoped that since Mom and Dad seemed to be quite popular, this boy would know who I was as well.
Introductions always went like this for me. Strangers would ask my parents names, say what a cute couple they were, and then turn to me, asking how I had met the Graces. No one ever realized the first time that I was their daughter; I seemed too old, and it didn't help that I looked nothing like either of my parents.
Quick as a flash, the kid in the orange T-shirt was up the stairs and shoving me against the wall. With one hand, he pinned me to the wall by my collar. With the other, he pulled the bronze dagger from the wall and held it roughly against my throat.
"Were you listening in on their conversation?" He growled menacingly.
I stood there, the rudeness in his voice catching me off guard. What was I supposed to say? Yes, I was listening to a conversation that I was kicked out of because my Mom didn't want me to hear about how ashamed she was of me 13 years ago.
"Were you listening to their conversation?" he repeated.
I stared at him. Although there was currently a knife at my throat, for some reason I couldn't help thinking about how the dim light only seemed to make his sea green eyes glow....
He shook me, glaring. "Answer me!"
I mentally shook myself, my brain telling me to stop staring and start talking.
"Duh."
(Percy's POV)
James was up the stairs and had a knife at Samantha's throat before I could explain that she was Piper and Jason's daughter.
