Chapter 29

The past few days have been bad. Bella's bones were being broken and her body was barely holding on. She was dying and Edward hated himself for it. She was getting sick and couldn't eat anything.
"You're right" I said
"Jacob had an idea" Edward added
"It wasn't an idea" he smiled sarcastically
"It was a snide comment" I replied
"What were you thinking?" Carlisle asked
"That it's probably just looking for someone to sink its teeth into." Jake said
"He's not wrong though. It may be the only way for Bella to get food in her system" I said
"He's thirsty" Bella said
"I know the feeling" Emmet said
"If it's craving it's not gonna want some animal blood" Edward said
"I have some O negative laid aside for Bella" Carlisle said
I saw Jaspers head fly towards Carlisle and looked at Alice giving her a signal
"Walk with me" Alice said standing up
Emmet got up too and walked out as Carlisle came in and poured the blood out
"Wait wait wait! You're gonna make her drink that?" Jake asked
"Jake shut up!" I yelled
"It's the fastest way to test the theory" Carlisle said
"Only if your comfortable with it" Edward said
"I'll try anything" Bella said
"I'm gonna go up to my room" I said

I sat back down on my bed after getting Bella some blood. I looked outside seeing where the wolves stood. I watched them and had an idea. I ran downstairs
"Guys" I said
Everyone looked at me in confusion
"I thought of a plan to distract Sam long enough for you guys to hunt" I said
"We need to get more blood" Carlisle said

I nodded at Jake as we ran into the woods. I held his hand tightly
"Jake they're coming!" Seth yelled
"I know" Jake said
"We should phase Jacob we can't protect ourselves like this" Leah said
"Well besides Nova" Seth said
"They'll see it as a threat" I said
"We wanna talk" Jake yelled
"Be easier if we could hear you too" I yelled
Paul and Jared came out of the woods
"This isn't your territory anymore" Paul said
"How's the new family working out" Jared added
"You idiots done" I said
They both looked at me with hurt looks
Quil and the last person I wanted to see came out of the woods too.
"Nova?" Embry said
"You coming home twins?" Quil said
"Not until we finish this" I said
"What do you mean" Paul said
"We want Sam to take back Leah and Seth" I said
"What" Seth yelled
"No way" Leah yelled
"What about you Nov?" Paul asked
"are you coming back" Embry added
I shook my head as Jacob told the siblings to be quiet. I held my breath
"I want them safe" Jake said
"and we want this over" I said
"I need Sam to wait until Bella's been separated from the problem" Jake said
"You mean till she's dead! You have your sister in danger following you around!" Paul yelled
"ease up Paul" Embry said
Paul growled at Embry
"Then what?" Paul asked
"Tell Sam when the moment comes me and Nova will be the ones to destroy it" Jake said
"Jake!" Seth yelled
Paul smiled and looked at us
"were the only ones who can" I said
"They trust us" Jake said
"And remind me to keep my baby away from you idiot mutts" I said
"It's different you're our family" Jared said
"yea we wouldn't hurt you" Paul added
"Not ever" Quil said
"Yea we wouldn't" Embry said sadly
"You guys were willing to when I left" I said
We heard a howl and others following. The boys looked at us then around
"You played us" Paul spat
"And you played right along" I said
Paul was the first to leave and Quil and Jared followed as Embry shook his head
"I'm sorry" he said before leaving
I stood there with tears streaming down my face. I looked at Jake
"It worked" I said
"they hate us more now" he said
"I know" I said sadly

We got back to the house and everyone stepped inside but I heard someone call my name. I turned around and saw Embry
"I will use my powers if I have to" I said
"I'm not here to hurt you idiot" Embry said
"Why are you here" I asked
I walked close to him using my electricity on my hands incase someone popped out
"You got better at controlling that" He said
"What do you want Embry?" I asked
"I'm sorry Nova" He said sadly
"You know you're on the wrong side." I said
"How do you know it's not dangerous" He asked
I let him read my mind and he saw the baby being born and it looked normal
"It's a baby.." He said
"Nobody knows besides me and Alice. I can't get to Sam and he won't listen" I said
"We've all tried getting him to listen. Even Paul and he hates the Cullens" Embry said
"Yea well if he hurts any of them i'm helping the Cullens" I said
"Over your family?" He said sadly
"Embry they are my family. You can't make me pick cause ima choose what's right" I said
"I understand. I wish I could help but he has a hold on all of us so we won't leave." Embry said
"does he know you're here talking to me?" I asked
"No I found a loophole. He said we couldn't help you guys he never said I couldn't talk to you. I just have to return before he notices i'm missing from my post" Embry said
"Only you would find a loophole" I smiled
"I missed that" Embry said
I hugged him tightly
"I'm sorry I left Embry" I said
"I'm sorry I didn't" He said
"I hope this is over soon without any of us getting hurt" I said
"Me too. They all miss you. It's like their imprint bond but it's with you" Embry said
"I miss them too" I responded
I kissed him softly before he had to leave
"Way to disobey alphas orders" Alice said coming outside
"Loophole. Nova will fill you in" Embry said
"I'll see you around" I said
"Nova I love you" Embry said
"I love you too Embry" I responded
