Chapter 34

It's been a few weeks since i've went to the Cullens house. I spoke to Jasper, Emmet, Rose, Bella, Esme and Carlisle but I haven't came around. Bella snuck Renesmee to see me while Edward wasn't around. Edward was pissed I hurt his mate but she hurt Seth so I didn't care. Today I agreed to go over after mine and Embry's brunch date. I agreed to keep things cordial if she could keep her hands to herself. I sat in the car spaced out as Embry's hand stayed on my lap
"Are you okay baby?" He asked
"I just don't wanna fight today" I said
"I won't let that happen" He smiled
"Yea. All of the Cullens besides Edward knew I was gonna defend Seth. I mean he's a member of my pack and I was a pack member before a vampire. Bella forgave me why can't Edward?" I said
"I don't know baby" He said looking forward
"Em?" I asked
"Yea princess?" He asked
"What if we can't have kids cause i'm a vampire?" I asked sadly
"Then well figure it out" He said
"You won't leave?" I asked
"Baby I married you not anybody else. I knew the possibility wasn't clear when I asked you to marry me again and I don't care about the possibility. We could adopt or have a surrogate but I want my life with you" He said looking at me
"I hope we can" I said sadly

We reached the Cullens house and Emmet opened the door and hugged me
"Missed you sis" He said
"Hey Embry" Rose smiled
"I missed you too but you're suffocating me Emmet" I laughed
He let me go and gave Embry a bro hug as I hugged Rose
"I missed you babe" Rose said
"I missed you too" I smiled
"Where's Ness?" I asked
"She's playing piano" Rose smiled
We walked inside and Alice walked up
"You look girly and beautiful" She said
"You look amazing" Jasper added
"Hey sweetheart" Carlisle said
"There's my beautiful girl" Esme said
"You look good Nov" Bella smiled
"Thank you guys. I was on a date with Embry before this so I didn't change" I smiled
"You look less horrible than usual" Jake said as he hugged Embry
I stuck up my middle finger at Jake
"Where's my beautiful niece" I smiled
"Auntie Nova!" Renesmee ran to me
I hugged her and picked her up
"You're getting so big Ness!" Embry said
"Soon me and uncle Embry won't be able to carry you anymore" I smiled

"I'm gonna go get the flowers" Alice said
"How about you show your aunt what daddy showed you" Bella said
I stood in between Embry's arms
"Yea show me Ness" I smiled
"Okay" Renesmee smiled
She started playing the piano as Jasper read, Esme and Carlos played chess and the rest of us watched her in awe.
"Wow baby you got really good" I said
She kept going as Alice came into the room with the flowers. She gasped before dropping the flowers and Jasper rushed over to her in worry. "What is it Alice"
"Alice?" I called her name
"The volturi" She said
I read her mind before she said more
"They're coming for us. Aro, Caius, Marcus, the guard and.." She stopped
"Irina" I said looking down
"The blonde from Bella's wedding?" Embry asked
"Honey come here" Bella told Ness
She quickly got up and walked to Bella
"Why" Carlisle asked
"What did Irina see in the woods?" Edward asked
"We were just walking." Bella replied
"Ness was catching snowflakes" Jake added
"Of course" Edward said
"What Edward?" I asked
"Irina thinks Renesmees an immortal child" Edward said
"So she fucking sold us out?" I asked

"The immortal children were very beautiful. So enchanting. To be near them was to love them. But the development was frozen at the age they were turned" Carlisle said
I held onto Embry as Carlisle spoke
"They couldn't be taught or restrained. A single tantrum could destroy an entire village. Humans heard about the devastation. Stories spread, the vultori were forced to intervene. Since the children couldn't protect our secret they had to be destroyed" Carlisle said
My breath hitched and I started crying
"They killed them" I asked crying
Embry held me closer as he rubbed my back "It's okay baby don't cry"
"The creators grew very attached and fought to protect them. Long established covens we're torn apart. Countless humans slaughtered. Traditions, friends" He said
Soon I felt myself get sick. I ran out the room and into the bathroom. I kneeled infront of the toilet and threw up. Embry rushed over and held up my hair
"Let it out baby" He said softly
After I was done throwing up Emmet brought me water and we walked back into the room and Carlisle finished his story. I looked at him then Bella
"Well Renesmee's nothing like those children." Bella said
"She was born not bitten she grows every single day" I added
"Can't you just explain that to the Vultori?" Jake asked
"Aro has enough proof in Irinas thoughts" Edward said shaking his head
"So we fight" Jake said
"That's not a good idea" I said
"Their offensive weapons are too powerful. No one could stand against Jane besides maybe Nova" Jasper said
"Alec's even worse" Alice said
"We can't sit here and do nothing" I said
"Well then we convince them" Bella said
"Nova and Bella are right" Embry said
"They're coming to kill us not to talk" Emmet said

I felt nauseous again and looked at Embry
"Can you go get me some water?" I asked
"Yea sure i'll be right back" Embry said
"Before he comes back" I said
"What's wrong? Alice asked
"I have to ask you guys about something" I said
"What is it?" Carlisle asked
"I was reading ancient legends and it said something about a cure for vampirism. Is it real?" I asked
"Nobody's found it" Jasper said
"If you guys find anything about it please let me know" I said looking down
"You wanna be human again?" Jake asked
"I don't see myself living my life without my pack or Embry" I said
"We'll do whatever we can to find it" Emmet said
"Find what?" Embry asked walking in
"My phone. I lost it" I lied
"It's in my pocket remember" Embry said

I slept at the Cullens but once again I felt my food coming up and I ran to the bathroom again. Embry chased after me and held up my hair as I threw up once again. I rinsed out my mouth and walked into the room again
"What's the plan?" I ask
"We're gonna go get witnesses" Jake said
"Okay who am I getting?" I ask
"The bed" Embry said 
I look at him and scoff in disbelief
"What no i'm helping" I say
"This is your second day throwing up. You obviously caught a bug or something. The only thing you're getting is some rest. We could have the pack help the cullens out if they need it" Embry said
"But" I started
"No buts. Get some rest" Emmet said
"Yea we don't need you puking on the way over" Jake said
"Get better" Carlisle said
"We'll keep you updated" Rose said
"be safe" I said sadly
I hugged them as they packed but then I saw Sam. I looked and opened the door.
"Sam is everything okay" I asked
"What is it" Carlisle said
"alice asked me to give you that. She and Jasper crossed out lands to the ocean last night" Sam said
"She left?" I asked
I felt dizzy and leaned back into Embry
"Woah baby are you okay?" He asked
"I just got a bit dizzy" I said
"Okay we're leaving and getting you to Emily's" He said
"She's sick?" Sam asked
"Yea" Embry said
They took me into the car and we headed to Emily's. The whole ride I felt tired so I took a nap and i'm guessing Embry carried me to my room
