YOUR NAME

"What the hell!" I shouted as my eyes were widely open. This cool man sitting at his desk pinched the bridge of his nose as if he's stressed. I get up from the sofa where I was lying a while ago and make my way in front of him. "What did you do to me?" I questioned him angrily, which made him look at me unbothered.

"Nothing. I did nothing." He answered me dismissively. I can't seem to believe it easily, so I inspected myself and confirmed that I wasn't touched and just overreacted. I rolled my eyes and just scoff it away, sitting my butt to the chair in front of him.

"Is James okay?" I asked him in his silence, remembering the kid with whom I always hang out. "He's alright." He shortly answered as he looked at me, intertwining his finger. His eyes settled on me. "How do you know that kid?" He questioned me.

"I always see him outside the bar around the Red District. He seems to be waiting for someone, so I decided to approach him. When I first saw him, he's really disturbed, and his feet were bleeding." I told him that he immediately noted in the paper where he was writing.

"Do you have any idea whom he might be waiting for in that area?" He inquired as I tried my hardest to remember what he mentioned that night. "I don't really know, but he does mention a girl name. Shira? I don't really recall." I blurted out while glancing at my shoulder, which is covered with blood.

"Oh, my wound." I enunciated with amusement lingered in my voice as I turned my attention to Orter, whose expression was pasted with confusion. "Why?" I asked, tilting my head, waiting for his response, which he ignored and returned his attention to his paperwork.

I pouted and looked around his table, which is piled with papers, and my eyes caught the paper that was placed on the table separated from the piles

"The assassination of Hail has been uncovered. You have a new mission?" I inquired upon reading what was written on the paper. "Not really; could the old man place this here for reference?" He answered as we were interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Come on in." Orter said, and the door slowly opened, revealing five students in their third year. Their eyes were glued to me, which made me smile at them. "Oh no! Your hair is so long!" I laughed at this blonde girl's reaction as she rushed over me and touched my hair.

"It's curly too. Look, Dot, it's redder than yours." She muttered, comparing my hair to that of the boy, who also has red hair like me. The guy named Dot just agreed with what the blonde girl stated.

"What are you kids business here?" Orter reclaimed the attention of everyone, as it took mine too. "Anyways, that is Lemon." He introduced the young lady who was standing beside him. "That is Lance Crown, one of the Divine Visionaries." He pointed at the blue-haired boy, who slightly lowered his head. "Beside him is Dot." He mentioned the person who has the same color as mine.

"Mash Burnedead, the lack-magic kid." He introduced the kid, who acted hurt upon hearing the description of him, which made me smile. "Finn Ames, little brother of Rayne Ames, the sword cane," he introduced to the last person standing beside Mash, who smiled at me.

"Hi everyone! I'm [first name, last name], and I'm Orter's assistant." I introduced myself and said that they acknowledged it with a nod, which made me turn to face him. "Aren't you going to say that you're a part of the Divine Visionary?" He questioned me, which made me raise an eyebrow at him.

"Do I need it too?" I returned, which made him sighed as he diverted his attention to the kids that barged in. "So, what's up?" Orter questioned, leaning his back on his chair and not looking away from the kids.

"We are assigned under your supervision for our mission as per the request of the Headmaster." Lance muttered the reason for their appearance in Orter's office, which made the man heave out a sigh as if it were not a good idea to put new people under him.

"Our mission is about the dragon sword that belongs to the Crest Faction, who've been sadly wiped out two decades ago." Finn mentioned their mission, which intrigued me. Wanting to hear more, I was disrupted by Orter's sudden movement of getting up from his chair, which made me look up to him.

"Let's go, [your name]. I have to talk to the old man about this." He sternly said all those words as he walked briskly towards the door, but he halted when he knew I wasn't following. "What are you doing?" He questioned me as he turned around to face me, to which I responded with a shrug.

"These kids were assigned to you by the headmaster, so it is what it is." I mumbled, not minding the dissatisfaction that he was giving me. "This is not a child's play. How old do you think these kids are?" He questioned, and anger lingered in his voice.

"They're no longer kids; they have goals to meet and have things to learn." I answered him. Our arguments made the children inside with us silent. "Yeah, things to learn. Better tell that to yourself; learn how to look for yourself. Look at that wound you had." He mumbled, mentioning my arm, which was punctured last night.

"[your name]—san, let me heal it." My eyes went to Finn as he got near me and started healing my wound with his magic. I smiled and placed my hand on top of his head, ruffling his hair. "Thank you." I told him that he had returned with a smile as he finished healing me.

"Shut up your mouth!" I spat at Orter as I faced the kids. "Alright, kiddos. I would love to make a decision with my partner about this, and we'll have all of you summoned for the final decision. I have to break some of the bones of that good-looking man at the door." I mumbled sweetly, which earned an unbelievable scoff from Orter, who heard my words, which made Lemon and Finn laugh as they bid their goodbyes and left.

"Break my bones?" He asked as soon as the kids left, leaving the both of us inside. I smirked and made my way toward him. "Uh huh. Here's the decision: Orter, you'll have those kids under your supervision, and I will protect them from the shadows. You got it?"
