"I am glad that both of you and the kids are safe." The old man greeted me and [name], who appeared unhappy from the time we left the shrine. I lowered my head slightly, while the woman next me remained impassive.

"The kids will remain in our custody for now while we make sure that their new home will have strong protection from invasion." Mr. Wahlberg gave us his word, and I nodded in agreement. To get her attention, the man in front of us approached [name] and put his hand on her head.

"Are you alright, [name]?" He asked the lady to be only answered with a lackadaisical nod. "I'm just tired. Can I go now because I have some things to do?" She said that made me raise an eyebrow.

"We have a couple of reports to write, and if you ever forget. You need to focus on your blacklisted brother." I said something that made her look at me; her face turned irritated, then a smirk appeared shortly after.

"Why not simply declare that you wanted to be with me? I can only understand that." She teases, which made Mr. Wahlberg smile slightly. "In your dreams, red head." I said as I turned around and walked away from them both.

What in the hell is that for? I prefer to work on these reports alone, with no distractions or interruptions. What exactly do I need from this woman?

As I strolled down this corridor that would lead to my workplace. I could feel her approaching from behind. I couldn't help but sigh and didn't acknowledged her humorous presence until we arrived at my office.

"I could make your dream come true if the person you like was me." She said in jest as soon as she managed to walk close to me and keep up with my pace. I disregarded her jokes and carried on moving. I can see her pouting out of the corner of my eye, which makes me mentally roll my eyes.

"Don't tell me you never liked anyone before me!" She gave me a startled look, then burst out laughing and shoved me hard, causing me to trip close to the hallway wall.
