TEMPTATION

We went to bed and made love. We could hear Angela screaming.  Jane rolled her eyes.
" MAURA TOMORROW WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN MAKE ALL THE BEDROOMS AND JOINING BATHROOMS TO MAKE THEM SOUND PROOF. I CANNOT HANDLE ANOTHER NIGHT OF MY MOTHER'S SCREAMS.I CAN JUST IMAGINE THE GOSSIP FROM THE NEIGHBORS. SHE WASN'T LOUD WITH MY DAD."  " MAURA I WILL WORK FROM HOME THE REST OF THIS WEEK AND HAVE A CONTRACTOR ON BOTH HOMES. I KNOW TONIGHT WE ARE NOT BEING LOUD AFTER MY NEIGHBOR TO MY RIGHT CAME TO TALK TO ME WHEN YOU WERE IN THE BATHROOM. I WAS SO MORTIFIED."

Jane woke up puking this morning. Cavanaugh left for work and Angela left to one of the Rizzoli brothers apartments to cook breakfast.  I was worried because Jane was nausea and puking alot. I held her hair back each time and massaged her back.

"Jane when was the last time you had a period?"

Jane looked at me and told me she could be pregnant because Casey and her were so wrapped up that he didn't use a condom that entire night.  We knew the last time they had sex.  I told her I would be back after I made her some toast only and brought her a bottle of water.
My gut feeling told me she was pregnant close to six weeks. She called the precinct and told them she had a cold. I left to get a few different pregnancy test and some prenatal vitamins .

" Maura shit I am. What are we going to do? He is in Persia Gulf War and is a POW per my last communication with his people over there. "  " We will raise the baby as our own. I will turn one of the bedrooms Ina nursery. I will hire a nanny to stay with your baby while you are at work. We will get through this together as a family.  Angela will be thrilled. Please take these prenatal vitamins.  I swill draw blood and have it ran to make sure. I will be right back."

Maura left and I was in shock. I barely become a detective and now I will have to be on desk duty once I start shshowing. This is going to suck. I was raised as a catholic.  Abortion was not an option. Maura returns and get my arm ready to withdraw blood. I cannot stand needles. I turn my head away from my arm as she withdraws some blood.   I feel a bandaid applied to my arm.

" I called Christina to come by to run it. I put Jane Doe on it. She is bringing me some paperwork too. Please try to get some sleep."

Maura left to make phone calls and do some work after she made herself some breakfast to eat. I eventually fell asleep.  I was emotionally drained and a wreck after I called Casey and left word for him that he was going to be a father.  We definitely would have alot to talk about. He didn't know about Maura and I. I still had feelings for him.

I woke up hearing sawing and pounding.  Maura left me ear plugs by the bed with my lunch which consisted of eggs, toast and some water. When I was almost done, she told me that I was indeed pregnant and that Casey called. She told him about us. She said he wasn't surprised.  I was shocked he knew we loved one another more than just best friends.
