Y/n's pov

I woke up in the middle of the night to the moonlit room and Toms quiet breaths beside me. All I could think about was how bad my stomach was hurting. It wasn't like a normal stomach ache but it was more like cramps.

I thought I might be on my period but wasn't sure because me and Tom went to the doctor a couple weeks ago because my cycle was very irregular. They did the usual and said that it might be raging hormones.

I brushed it off and decided to go to the toilet, I got up slowly trying not to wake Tom or make my stomach hurt too much. After about 3 minutes I made it to the bathroom on the other side of our room.

I pulled down my panties not expecting much but what I saw was completely different. Blood. I was on my period. Of course I was happy it was finally back but I was definitely pissed off that it decided to come now.

I got up and went over to the bathroom cupboard opening it. I ruffled through the mess a bit but couldn't find any pads. To my surprise I did find tampons but I could never use tampons for the life of me.

There was nothing I could do so I just sat on the floor thinking of my next move. I thought about telling Tom but me and him don't usually talk about this kind of stuff except for the time I had to go to the doctors. He must think my period was regular again because I haven't complained once.

This is gonna be embarrassing I thought to myself as I heard commotion outside of the door and Tom saying something in his deep morning voice. (Its 2am)

Tom's pov

I rolled onto my side to bring Y/n into me but when I felt nothing I got worried. I opened my eyes and saw a light at the bottom of the bathroom door. I waited a few minutes before getting up to see what was going on. "Y/n are you okay" I asked expecting an answer but nothing.

I tried to open the door but I couldn't. "Baby can you unlock the door please" I said softly. "I can't" Y/n said and I sounded like she was... Crying???. "Yes you can please unlock the door" I said back and the door knob slowly rattled open.

After a few seconds I opened the door. Y/n was on the floor with a few tears rolling down her face. The bathroom was bright and was killing my eyes because I had just woken up. "What are you doing" I said concerned.

Y/n's pov

I didn't know what to say, of course I didn't want to lie to him but it was so embarrassing. I never felt this embarrassed in my whole life and it was over something completely natural. "I got my period" I whispered so quietly that I was unsure if he even heard me.

To my surprise he did "Oh" Tom said not expecting that answer. The silence was so awkward, the face he was giving me was awkward, everything was awkward. I just started to cry, I don't know why normally I never cry over something as little as this.

"Oh baby" Tom said as he came over to me helping me of the ground. "It's okay I'm sorry how about you get cleaned up and I'll bring you some new clothes" he said. Once I was up he left and later on brung some of his clothes that were baggy and comfortable.

I didn't have any pads and I guess Tom noticed when he saw the box of tampons on the counter. Along with the clothes he gave me a spare pair of underwear and a pad he had in his drawer.

After I got changed I came out looking down. "Come over here, let's sleep you must be really tired" he said to me and we both got in bed. I layed down and he pulled me into him whilst rubbing my stomach.
