One day in the Digital Circus, Orchid was feeling little. Paisley, however, had to cook a feast in the digital kitchen as it was Caine's adventure of the day (it was called "Cooking with Paisley"). She couldn't say no even if she wanted to since they were a part of the adventure. So, Kinger offered to opt out of the adventure and babysit. Paisley handed him Orchid's bag of regression gear and was about to head her merry way when she heard Orchid quietly mumble, "Flower?"

"What's up, sweetie?" Paisley asked as she lowered themself down to Orchid's eye level.

"I don't want you to go..."

"I know, but Flower has to help our friends with the cooking adventure. I'll be back before you know it, I promise. Papa Kinger's going to take really good care of you."

It was true. Orchid loved spending time with Kinger. They would infodump about their special interests to each other nonstop, whether Orchid was big or little!

Paisley gave Orchid one more hug before she left.

"It's okay, little monarch. I've got the whole afternoon planned out," Kinger reassured as he and Orchid went into his room, where a pillow fort was waiting for them.

"Your pillow fort?" Orchid gasped.

"Yep, and I have plenty of books on insects that I want to share."

Orchid and Kinger went inside the fort and sat down.

"That reminds me! Flower found a new tornado book today and put it in my bag," Orchid realized as they pointed at the regression bag Kinger was holding.

"Oh, they did?" Kinger pondered as he pulled out the said tornado book out of the bag. "Oh, well look at that! Flower must have picked out a good one!"

"She did! I read it all morning! It's about the Fujita Scale and Enhanced Fujita Scale. It talks about the levels of damage measured after a tornado."

The next few hours were spent with Orchid and Kinger reading to each other. Orchid had some trouble pronouncing the words when they read, but Kinger helped them out by reading the words to them.

Kinger was currently reading about the Hercules beetle while Orchid drank apple juice from the baby bottle Paisley prepared earlier. A knock was then heard at the door.

"I'll get it," Kinger said as he got up and left the pillow fort. Shortly after, he came back with Paisley standing next to him.

"Flower!" Orchid beamed as they dropped the bottle, got up, and gave Paisley a big hug.

"Hey, gumdrop. How was your afternoon with Papa Kinger?" Paisley asked.

"It was good! I read my new book to him!"

"You did? Well, that's awesome! Thanks for looking out for Orchid, Kinger."

"You're welcome. Orchid was a delight as usual," Kinger nodded.

"I'm glad," Paisley said as she went in the fort to get Orchid's bag.

Paisley then carried Orchid out of Kinger's room as they waved bye to him.
