CHAPTER 5

Shiza cuts the cake that Zainab made, which has "Bride to be" written on it. After cutting the cake, they all have lunch, and then they sit in the living room. Shiza says, "Mahnoor, I forgot to show you something important" and gets up, with Mahnoor following her.

Zainab says, "I am so tired"

Rayyan replies, "Without doing anything."

Zainab asks, "You made the cake, right?"

Zayn says, "You guys continue, it's my gym time"

Saif teases him, "I hope your trainer doesn't give you a hard time today."

Zayn asks, "Why are you sitting here? Don't you have deadlines?"

Saif replies, "I'll manage."

Zayn goes to the kitchen.

Alishay asks, "What's the theme for the wedding?"

Zainab replies, "We haven't decided yet, but we'll decide now."

Rayyan suggests, "What about red?"

Hala jokes, "We'll make you sit in shiza aapi's place."

Zainab says, "Not a bad idea, it'll be a prank with Hasan Bhai too."

Saif warns, "Don't even think about it."

Rayyan says, "Yes pls , Don't make me the sacrificial goat."

Alishay says, "I was thinking, it'll be so much fun at the wedding, I mean, when all of you are so chill, the other cousins must be too."

Rayyan, Zainab, and Saif look at each other and fake coughs loudly.

Hala says, "I think Phuppo and her kids are being discussed."

Rayyan says, "Yes, but our Phuppo is better than yours."

Saif exclaims, "Can anyone be better than our Phuppo? No way!"

Hala: Haha, there's a backstory, they both know.

Alishay: Me too.

Hala: Obviously.

Saif: I'm curious.

Hala: I'll tell you some other time.

Saif , thinking, "We'll meet again."

Zayn comes out of the kitchen with a protein bottle in his hand and says, "Bye, guys, except the one with blonde hair" and quickly leaves. Alishay gets angry and turns around, saying, "Stop noticing things about me!"

Hala: You guys are like Tom and Jerry!

Saif: Alishay, sorry from his side.

Alishay: Why are you apologizing on his behalf? He should say it himself!

Saif: He'll never say sorry, that's why I'm saying it as his elder brother.

Rayyan: Okay, guys, stop. This conversation is getting too boring. Let's do something fun.

Alishay: It's getting late, and I'm getting messages from Mom too.

Hala: Same here.

Rayyan: We could have gossiped in uni too.

Alishay: No, because Saif bhai is a really fun person to talk to, and he's not in uni.

Rayyan: I can't even be jealous, he's my older brother.

Saif: No need to be jealous anyway.

Zainab: Saif bhai is always on his laptop, I don't know how he found time today.

Saif: Don't embarrass me.

Hala's phone rings, and she says, "Excuse me" and gets up and goes outside.

Rayyan: Alishay, I forgot to show you my new PlayStation.

Zainab: Our , Rayyan...

Alishay: Let's play, please, before I get a call from home.

Saif: You guys continue, I'll be right back.

Saif gets up and goes outside.

In the lawn, Hala is on a call, saying, "Why are they coming now? I had refused, no way. Please explain to Dad, don't believe their lies again. Okay, I'm coming, please talk to Dad."

Hala cuts the call and turns around to see Saif standing behind her, his hands behind his back.

Hala asks, "Why Are you here?"

Saif replies, "Can't I be? I mean, it's my house."

Hala clarifies, "I didn't mean that."

Saif notices Hala's worried expression and asks, "Are you okay? Everything alright?"

Hala responds, "I'm fine, but I have an emergency and need to leave immediately."

Saif starts to say something, but Hala quickly leaves, and Saif goes inside.

As the night wears on, Zayn is on his phone, while Saif works on his laptop at the study table.

Zayn says, "Looks like the boss is giving you a hard time, working even at this hour."

Saif's hands are still typing away on the keyboard as he replies, "You know I was busy during the day, so I have to make up for it now. Maybe this is what will happen during the wedding days ahead."

Zayn asks, "What about shopping? We have only three days left, shall we go tomorrow?"

Saif responds, "They were deciding on a theme, Rayyan would know, let's ask him and then see about tomorrow."

Zayn gets up and lies on the bed, saying, "Saif, what happened to you? The theme idea is so cringey. I mean, if they want to do it, let them, we'll make our own separate plans, they are friends, not us."

Saif explains, "I just repeated what Rayyan told me, let's discuss it with him."
