First day of Freshman Pt4 | Lunch Break

After Alex went to go eat with Candi, Levi's all by himself now, but guess who asks to eat with him?

(Levi's POV)

I turned around to see who it was, well, who wouldn't it be other than...

Jaxx.

I didn't know what to say, I probably looked like a tomato when he asked me.

"S-sure..." I told Jaxx.

"Great!" He said, "I saw Alex went with Candi, so...I decided to eat with you."

I don't know if I was seeing things but it also looked like he was blushing.

"Oh, t-thanks.." I replied.

God, why me.... *sigh.* oh well...

As we were walking down the halls, I had the urge to hold his hand.

My fingers touched his, and then, they interwined with eachother.

I was holding his hand.

His hand felt warm to the touch, while mine were cold. That made me want us to stay like that.

I couldn't clearly see since he was looking away, but I swear he was blushing. And, I was too.

"Hey, wanna eat here?" Jaxx asked. It was a bench infront of the court, where most kids hang out.

"Sure." I replied.

Unfortunately, we had to let go of our hands. I enjoyed it while it happened.

We sat down and looked whatever happened at the court.

The jocks were playing basketball, also bullying the nerds, stealing their lunch money. The rest of the nerds were defending eachother.

"Hey, by the way," I asked. "I heard you're one of the jocks, is that true?"

"Well..." He replied. "Yeah, but.." He leaned in and whispered in my ear, "I'm also kind of a robotics nerd..."

"Why would you tell me?" I asked, smirking. "Don't think I would snitch?"

"HEY! Don't, please. I'll let you copy my homework."

"Hmm, fine."

We looked back at the court, the scene kids, one of them being Luca we walking around with bright, colorful hair extensions and listening to music.

Same for the emo kids, except they were much more, lifeless.

We looked over to the skate kids, one of them being, of course, Light, were practicing skate moves. Unfortunately, Light hit one of the scene kids, wait- he hit Luca?!

"HE HIT LUCA- THAT BI-" I screamed, putting down my lunch bag.

"Hey, hey, calm down. Don't fight Light, it'll cause more people to be hurt." Jaxx ran up to me, trying to calm me down.

"OKAY BUT I STILL HAVE TO LOOK AFTER MY BROTHER!" I shouted, running up to him. Jaxx followed me.

A small circle gathered around Luca, We squeezed in. Pushing some people.

There was Luca, lying down, his knee was bleeding so bad.

"IM SO SORRY LUCA!" Light apoligized.

"LUCA! ARE YOU OKAY?!" I asked while screaming, making him sit up.

I don't know but, I was tearing up so bad.

"I'm okay Levi!..." Luca replied, trying to sit up.

Minutes later, the nurses from the clinic were carrying him back to the clinic.

I just stood there, wiping my tears with my sleeves. Me and Jaxx went back to our spot.

"I hope he's alright.." I said, while sniffling.

"Hey, don't worry, he'll be fine.." Jaxx said.

He put all his stuff down, and hugged me by the waist.

That was the best way to comfort me so far.

I hugged him back tightly.

I looked up at him, sniffling.

"Don't worry, the nurses will take care of him." He said, wiping my tears with his thumb. "They have experience in all that stuff."

"Yeah, thanks." I replied, laying my head down on his chest.

(Jaxx's POV)

Levi layed his head down on my chest, I  stroked his hair to comfort him.

For a while, he didn't talk to me, until I realized he cried himself to sleep.

"Hey Levi?" I asked.

He just stayed in his position.

I really didn't know what to do, I just hugged him back, still stroking his hair.

I wish he knew I liked him.

I was blushing so much, I hope nobody was looking.

Levi finally woke up.

"Sorry, I just randomly felt sleepy for a second." He said.

"Don't worry." I told him. "It's fine, as long you are okay."

"Thanks for comforting me.." He replied.

"No problem."

We held hands.
